Today its time to fly out the N1K2-Ja Shiden-Kai in a Realistic Battle. Flew out with the N1K2-Ja yesterday for the first time since release of 1.75, La Résistance. This to check out its performance. And found out exactly what this plane is about, lets see how it went. Hope you enjoy :)

Jengar this plane reminds me of a high tier version of the A6M2 really, slow but comparatively to its competition extremely agile. The difference of course is that this plane can take a hit and it can spit fire all match with that ammo load
Hey Boss! I was just wondering if this is the same as the N1K2-J, sir? They're the same br so I thought they were the same aircraft except for the rewards - if our comrades in the Squadron were correct, apparently this one gets more RP bonus while the N1K2-J gets more SL. Thanks, boss! Great video as always!

Shiden is great to fly, even when facing jets. When I'm facing jets, I'll act as a bait for my teammates to kill the greedy jets. Its hilarious how often and easy it works
Jengar actually the speed is
559km/h at Sea Level
650km/h at 6000m
IAS only shows you airflow, IAS doesn't show you how fast you travel. As you climb you have less air and you have to go faster as you get higher to keep the same airflow (IAS)
You should be using SPD (TAS, True Air Speed) to see how fast you are actually flying.
pretty cool fact, by the end of the war the Japanese navy got most of the remaining Japanese aces and made a squadron made up of manly N1K2-Ja Shiden-Kai to fight off America B-29/navy aircraft attacks on the Japanese islands. only 400 N1K2-Ja Shiden-Kai got made by the last years of the war and it was able to keep up and outmanouver the p-51/p-47.

They weren’t capable of tackling b-29’s. The squadrons with these aircraft where more or less offensive sweep squadrons and even escorted some kamikaze attacks on Okinawa.

I may have said this before, but is worth repeating: I found skillful use of MEC really helps the Japanese planes. Mixture, Prop Pitch, etc. can really help you during maneuvers.

For some odd reason you can feel how deadly their guns are even though they fire so slowly, kinda like the russian guns. They have this satisfying punch to them (or maybe it's just the sound they make).

Great video, glad to see you reviewed it. If there is one plane in Japan's tree I don't fear Bearcats and P-51Hs, it is this beast.
Connor Ellingson The F8F and the P-51H in everything better than the N1K2. :D If I fly with them, the N1K2 has no chance against me. But I know what are you talking about. Many people on Amerika side cant play and stupid as fuck. This is the only reason why the N1K2 is fun. :)
N1K2 will win in a turnfight against them (provided the N1K2 uses its flaps), and has superior guns to the P-51H. That's how I like to fight in my N1K2 and it works really well. Good to hear I'm not the only N1K2 fan :)
Connor Ellingson The M2s are far superior guns. Higher velocity, higher fire rate, more ammo, higher burst mass, and better damage.
Better damage? No way. There is no way a cannon does less damage than a .50 cal. And they don't have a higher burst mass, the P-51H has a burst mass of 3.33 kg/s while the N1K2 has in excess of 4 kg/s.
Connor Ellingson Yes, the N1K2 turn better, but that doesn't care a good pilot. If I fly with Amerika against Japan, in those matches I have the most kills, like 5 or more. Because they are soooo weak. I mean in almost every BR Murrika is stronger. And I play booth Nations. With the N1K2 I have ~680 battles and ~900 kills. With the Ki-84 Hei I have 985 battles and ~1300 kills. So yes, I can play and probably you don't understand why I say japanese planes are weak. Well, it's because the only reason why I can kill american planes with my japanese planes is that many people can't play with America correctly. They go in turnfight, or they can't aim with the 12,7 mm, or they think they can horizontal manouver against me, and then... They simple die. Because against a japanese plane you need just BnZ him to the death. So yeah... I like japanese planes, they are good and dangerous, but they are overBRed. Not every plane, for example the J2M3 is very good in 5.3, but actually the 6.3 for the N1K2 is very high. It's not a superprop like the Mk. 22/24 and the P-51H. And a normal prop has no chance against jets (well... If the jet pilot knows what he is doing), so I don't understand why the N1K2 is in 6.3. It's should be 5.7.

Good video Jengar! Do you think this plane is better than the N1K1? I currently have a talisman on the N1K1 and I really love it. Should i try the N1K2 out?

Hey Jengar, any chance we'll be seeing a MiG-15 review on the channel? The non bis version? I know you'd better off flying a garbage can with a potato gun mounted to it than in that thing, but I'm sure you'll enjoy the challenge:)

Mr. M Feel how you want, but this is the truth. The plane is fun, because Murrican peoples are stupid. When I fly with every american or british plane in 6.3-6.7, the N1K2 is the most EZ kill, because everything is better. Even in lower BR, the P-51D-30 is a better plane, and that thing sits in 5.0. :D Funny. I fly with everything and I'm just a pilot, who play the game since 5 years. If we talking about planes, I know what I'm talking about. The N1K2 was made in 1943, it's a simple prop plane, which dying over 4500-5000 meters. In 6.3 this thing facing with superprops and jets. If not a nonskilled pilot fly with them you has no chance. But, like I said, with a P-51D-30 I can kill this thing in EZ, and with a P-51D-5 with some hard time, but I can kill the N1K2 too. It's simple the truth. And of course I'm not noob with the Shiden Kai, I have 652 battles with it and 896 kills. So the plane can be fun, but just if the enemy is stupid as fuck. On that BR every other plane is way better almost in everything than the N1K2.

Don't u live in united states? Y are u using metric units, its very confusing to us Americans, its hard to watch ur videos when I have no idea what ur talking about. Celsius, meters, kilometers, its all foreign to me. I deal in Fahrenheit, miles and feet
One meter is about 3.28 feet, 1 km = 0.6 miles, its not too hard. And no, we dont all live in the united states, im from Holland!
Its a good plane but is 6.3 Not to high? I mean vs p 51 h ,Spit mk 22,24 bearcat the lf mk 9 turns better is on low alt faster and is 5.7?
