This feels like when the mall is in its final hours, and the night guard in charge of keeping the mall in touch decided to play this on the radio all the while sipping a cup of coffee to keep himself in check.
Idk it just sounds so peaceful and euphoric to me for some reason.

I work as a Mall Security Officer at Nights and I can tell you that they don’t turn off the escalators to the first floor or turn off the music and some nights it creeps me out sometimes

Imagine a horror movie idea where someone is trapped in the mall that's closed and trying to get away from a serial killer that is obsessed with them and won't stop until their dead. Then when the character is trying to look for a way out and thinks that they lost the killer somewhere in the mall. This plays..... indicating that every breathe they make, every step they take. They'll be watching them... indicating that the killer is an unstoppable omnipresent force that could very well be toying with you and is a place you least expected.

Netflix has a horror trilogy, with the first or second movie involving a mall and plot progression like in your scenario.

Instead of some past love this song reminds me to my mother who passed away 3 years ago. I'm just 22 but she loved all this music and i love them too because of her.
She use to play all her discs in the car console and every time i heard this song its just like i could almost feel her hand holding mine again.
I feel that the lyrics are from her to me.
I'm grateful to the person that made this video.

Sorry for your loss. January 10th was the 5 year anniversary of my moms passing. I was 23 when she passed. She was an incredible musician. I understand all too well.

This neither makes me uncomfortable nor scared. it just makes me sad just remembering a dream I had about my crush. I imagine her and I just running around the abandoned mall laughing, unworried, joking, and being affectionate. just the two of us together, protecting eachother, temporarily locked in & out from the world and just having fun with what we have around us.
I miss hanging out at the mall those days will always be fun.

The sound of boots echoing on cold tiles bounces off the sides of the mall, and I skip to the side, the soles squealing. I hold my mop in my hands like an imaginary microphone. The gentle song tumbles out of the ceiling, lilting, and I twirl, soap splashing up to meet my dance as I drag the mop against the floor. I am alone, all alone, and it is cold. My jacket rustles and I throw my head back, delighted laughter bubbling in my chest. And the song twirls around me, my only companion in the late hours of the night.

Perfection. The bizarre, creepy and ironic song, from the era when the shopping mall was in its prime, fits perfectly with the image. It's such a desolate and off-putting place when the lights are low and nobody is around. The shopping mall is dead; this is a great homage to what it really was.

This is like something you will hear on night shift or at least on nearby shop or gas station
feels like they’re playing this song at the abandoned Starcourt Mall
You are the last employee at a local store inside. All the other people shopping and employees at your and the others stores left for the day. Your feeling depressed after loseing your best friend from Battling a illness. You leave your shop and about to head on home until, Every move you make by The Police kicks on the speakers in the mall. You freak out at first because, normally the radio station is the one that closes first, but then tears and a smile starts to build upon your face. You find a wooden bench in the mall and sit and listen to the song. As you listen you start to remember all the fun and great time you and your friend had. You remember how you helped each other when you when times were tough. You hear the coming to a end and start to gather your things, until you see a silhouette in the corner of your eye. You get startled by it and jump up from your seat. You are about to say something to the silhouette until you freeze in shock. It's your best friend looking at you with warm smile. Your perplexed and don't know what's happening. Your friend walks up to you and gives you a hug. Your confused how this is possible but, you give a hug back. You both hug each other for a while until the song ends. When the song ended, the speakers went dead and your friend starts to disappear. Before vanishing, your friend tells you that " we will meet again, but until then. I will always be watching over you." Your friend disappears and you start to head out of the mall. With a warm feeling in your heart your depression disappears. You leave the mall knowing that one day, you will be with your friend again.
