I KNEW it would hold up phenomenally well!!! Thanks so much for letting us know!! Just wondering please if you don’t mind, what’s the longest run you’ve used it on and what’s your verdict on it as a long run shoe??? I have my first 50km ultra coming up very soon and am seriously considering using this shoe !!

6’3’’ 220 pound runner and I absolutely love these shoes. 400+ miles and they still look brand new. The durability on them is like no other. Pair them with the speed 3 for workouts and the pro 3 for races and it all just works so well. Saucony is absolutely killing it

I’m 6’3 & 218 pounds & loved my Triumph 20’s from the first run. Have just hit 100 miles & agree with Kofuzi, it still looks & feels like new. Bought another pair a month or so ago on sale after the 21 came out, but at this rate I won’t be using them until well into 2024!

I feel like this shoe can do almost anything. It’s plenty soft and subsequently hard to do strides in, but long intervals, easy runs, long runs and even tempos seem to work just fine. I’m 350 miles in, very little (to no!) wear and tear, and outsole still holding up fine.

I've had this pair since late December'22 and 144 miles later, they show no sign of wear. These feel as good as new. Easy runs feel very comfortable and cushiony. And it's almost as if they are begging you to go faster, and when you do, oh boy they feel springy and fast.

I'm 300lbs, 15 2E, and wore my Triumph Iso 5s every single day for 3 years until the midsole broke in half at the forefoot and the crystal rubber fell off. Something like 8000 miles of walking. The midsole was still as cushy as when I got it, but they collected water in the rain and were hazardous on hard floors at work once the rubber started coming off. I have since worn the 18s daily for 2 years, and have a pair of the 19s and 20s on stand-by. These are absolutely the best shoes you can get as a neutral clydesdale.

Great review and very much in line with everything I experienced in this shoe. I have been loving the Triumphs since the 17 and I think the 20 is an improvement on everything but one aspect: the drop. For me the heel gets in the way a bit and I keep feeling it. Hope they’ll go back to 8 mm in some future itteration!
Surprisingly, for this use case I found the Asics Glideride 3 to be an excellent alternative that I gravitate more towards at the moment. Nevertheless: still a very good shoe!

I think you get the point. It’s an in between shoe but everybody talks about this as a max cush, which is not. I also find the fit a bit tricky , the upper too heavy and the lockdown not the best. Foam is very good and springy but not so cushioned. Overall quality is very high indeed.

Saucony hasn't really nailed down max cushion like asics has w the nimbus 25, hoka w the bondis, and brooks w the glycerin.
Saucony pwrrun plus has always been on the firmer side when it comes to cushion...take a look at their endorphin shift 3. It has a stack height of 39mm and its one of their more firmer shoes.
Triumoh is heading in the daily trainer category and I think they instead should consider making a new max cushion shoe using pwrn pb foam like nike does w the invincible

On the fence about purchasing the Saucony Triumpth 20 or the Gel-Nimbus 25. I did my first half marathon with no training and crappy beat up old shoes. I still managed to push through in just over 2hrs / blisters, cramps, muscle pain and all - and I'M HOOKED! Already signed up for my next 21km race, old shoes went into the garbage and now looking to buy a pair as my first and only real running shoe. Wanting to look after my legs this time so high cushion is what I'm looking for to protect from shin splints, knee, calf and achiles pain. This video was helpful just trying to decide. I'm doing both trail and road races and can't really afford more than 1 pair yet so a sole that can handle different road surfaces 🤷‍♀️

I have ran nearly 350 miles on my Saucony Triumph 20's. I absolutely LOVE them! I run 4-6 miles most days and never even think of my feet - it's wonderful. No knee pain, no ankle pain, no black toes, etc. Just run and enjoy it, everyday! I help coach a small school XC team, so a lot of our training is on dirt/gravel/grass, and maybe a 1/4 of my running is on cement. The Triumph 20's are still holding up great. I plan on getting another pair as they are now selling for just over $100 on most sites. Previously I had the Speed 2s which I really enjoyed overall, but after 5 or 6 miles my body and feet would start to feel it just a bit. The Speed 2s are fun shoes and encouraged me to go faster, but I like the Triumphs as my daily trainer as they just help keep me on a nice everyday steady pace. But I was able to pick up the pace on a good trail and did a mile run in about 6:45, so they can be versatile, if needed. Also, the Triumph 20s are more stable than the Speed 2s, as I have never rolled my ankle with the Triumphs, but did several times with the Speed 2s. The Triumphs are very comfortable to walk in as well.

Thank you for a great and informative review! I'm a bit on the heavier side, 180 cm and 97 kg. I've in the past had Nike Vomero as my "daily cushioned shoe" (if that makes sense), but I feel like mixing things up a bit! So I've kept an eye on Triumph 20. Where would you guys, kofuzi and comment readers, say the Triumph stands in a comparison against Vomero? Eg - if I like Vomero, will I most likely also like Triumph? Cheers from Sweden!

hi mike, whats your take on the difference between 19s and 20s? I am having quite issues with its foam under heel, which weirdly interacts with my stride and after longer runs I feel pains and niggles around achilles’ and calfs. I recall you had some similar issues with sauconies models about 2 or 3 years ago. So is it still a thing? Have you noticed something in such area?

    • @paddywiggle
      @paddywiggle ปีที่แล้ว

It doesn’t seem like your issue would be related to what he was going through. He has issues because of the inherent stability some of their models had. This is not something the triumph 20 has. I suppose the 19 was a little more stable than the new one, but still very different than the ride13/14 which is what I think gave Kofuzi issues.

    •  ปีที่แล้ว

The tempus is lovely and fits similar. Narrow instep, average midfoot and wide toebox. It may just be a bit firmer than you’d expect a shoe with PWRRUN pb would have. It’s soft in the heel and on toe off but not particularly soft in the throat of the shoe. You can also feel the arch so if you have flat feet or a low arch you may feel it and get rubbing before it breaks in, so just beware.
