yes I am really happy to see such a large 8 yr old dane!! my gal is 8 but she has no problems getting around yet, she is also much smaller. his gal seems perfectly content though I am not sure why people are saying she is sad, although mine has a "sad" face as well lol

Our Dane (albeit cross something, we suspect spotty dog) is also a harlequin called Lizzy! Her mannerisms and movements and behaviour are just about identical. It's uncanny actually.
My old Great Danes died one was (3 Pepsi) is he died in 2015 he was paralyzed. And my other one was 8 (cola) almost nine he died because of old age but now we have new ones they are puppies still grey with black spots. Their father was huge like George the tallest male Great Dane so I think they will be huge. Their names are Zeus and Zulu
LOLOL...One of my Foster dogs (Chihuahua) arrived here SO tiny that he reminded me of a little (warm) baked potato, weighing next to nothing ...I was actually reluctant to pick him up at 1st for fear I might accidentally injure the little guy just by gently cupping my hands around him...I spent about the 1st 4 weeks or so carrying him around constantly in the pockets of my hoodies to keep him warm & feeling secure...Big GIANT dogs & little miniature "peewee" sized dogs...It doesn't matter because I sincerely LOVE THEM *ALL* ... HaHa (Great Danes are truly "gentle giants") *: )*
Great Danes and other larger dogs look like a horse side-trotting when the run. Our black lab is no where as big as Lizzie but he has that trot run. It's adorable!
