    Corrections: Not all Titans are Deathless. The reason you can fight multiple of the same Titan in a walkthrough is because there are more of their species. Also, every time the characters "teleport," it's them disintegrating, "self-immolating to free their QIP up for rebirth" (courtesy of the Archivist, thank you big guy).
    Infinity Blade, Infinity Blade 2, and Infinity Blade 3 are incredible games that've been lost in obscurity. Now, the Infinity Blade is only found in Fortnite, which means that Infinity Blade gameplay and Infinity Blade lore are getting less and less popular. It's a tragedy. This is essentially the Infinity Blade movie. And finally, it's one of the best mobile games of all time, if not the best mobile you can't play.
    The paragraph above is cringe, but it has to be done lol
    If you have any questions about the music or visuals, or just directed at me personally, feel free to ask away!

      Yeah , sad mobile games nowadays are just ripoffs. I remember playing infinity blade 1 2 and 3 for countless hours as a kid. If my dad didn't buy me an ipad 1 back then then I wouldn't have experienced this masterpiece of a game. To be fair in the earlier days of phone gaming, before the iPhone when there was the Vodophone and those great Korean phones you had legit exclusive full games on phones in the Japanese and Korean market. War Of the Genesis got a side story game on Korean phones for crying out loud and Final Fantasy Agito was a phone game first. Megaman Legends 3 was planned to be a phone game.

      @@decal4707 I'm still salty about the Indrema not being released, I thought it was a smart model but they delayed it to update the hardware specs. when they needed to get it to the market to start making money.
      It was going to be the best of both worlds: console and PC. The cost for a license for a commercial game was set to be $1K while the non-commercial was $500. The cost of beta machines were set to be $500 or maybe $400, it was only $100 more and everyone could buy one. You were going to get the beta's a week or even a MONTH before launch. I assume if they started mass manufacturing they would have been even earlier.
      It was definitely a bit more expensive to develop on than the PC but the attention you would have gotten for having a fixed set of specifications you could really optimize on would have more than made up for it. Like I said best of both worlds...closed specs. to optimize yet still very affordable like the PC.

    This game series had so many mysteries.
    its made very clear Sirus/Ausar, Galath and Ryth (a special side boss in the games) where deathless prior to galath giving immortality to various people in his company (thane was likely the first of these). How did they gain their immortality?
    One of the major plot points is Raidriar defeating Ausar at the plains of koroth then stabbing him with the redeemer which turned him into Siris, the problem is Ausar is consistently shown to be miles ahead of Raidriar in terms of skill, Sirus is literally just a worse Ausar skill-wise (until the end of IB3 where its implied he fully regained his memories) and repeatedly beat raidriar, this heavily implies Ausar may have deliberately lost.
    What is heaven? the place the worker was leaving earth for, it appears to be a lunar colony but is it really that simple? and what shattered the moon?
    one of the most goofy but important bits of lore is that the deathless all use conventional swords, shields, maces, etc as they've all agreed to a standard form of ritual combat. guns exist, nukes exist, a huge amount of futuristic weaponry exists, but they all keep to swords and shields for some reason (some melee weapons like the solar trans are futuristic though). its not like dune where melee weapons are explained with futuristic shields that only allow low-velocity objects in or whatever, sirus could have canonically just cheated by pulling out a gun on the worker and I genuinely question why he didn't.

    • @zachoshark
      @zachoshark 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      I got you bro.
      1. They gain immortality by using devices and and tech that Galath make when the world was still normal. Which is just making souls into particles of data and they will reassemble thru time (rebirth) or thru a body construction chamber or a new body. Basically just need a body for the "soul" to goes into. And they Galath turns them into deathless using that tech
      2. There was no mentioned that Ausar was better than Radriar in terms of skill nor IQ. He was just more cruel. So yeah he lost lmao. Sirius eventually beat Radriar because... drumsticks please... he died to The God King hundreds of time before finally won against him once in IB 1? So yeah it would make senses.
      3. I actually dont know lmao
      4. In the book, Galath have stated they have destroyed and rebuild the world so many times that the deathless shaped it as they please. Their choice was to stick to Aegus form which is tradtional medieval weapon despite having everything else high tech (teleport, mech, plane, light saber,...). No one pulled out a gun because no one had it, not even the mighty Worker of Secret didnt even make it.

    • @ph-1012

      @@zachoshark Ausar and Galath predate the other deathless, thats a well established fact.
      the books make it very clear Sirus has less skill compared to Ausar (at least until IB3), I find it unbelievable for Ausar to loose to Raidriar if Raidriar lost to an inferior version of the same skill set several times. thats more a theory on my part but still feels dumb he lost.
      they can easily make guns, they absolutely have the tech to do so. I just kinda think cheating against the worker would have been warranted. I can believe them not using them before because the deathless have some agreement about it but at the end of the story it felt dumb.

    • @secretlemon5008
      @secretlemon5008 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ph-1012 Likely the reason he didnt make guns is there is no point. If you remember the infinity blade a weapon designed to kill deathless couldnt even hurt the worker. Like his head regenerated faster than it chopped it off. So pair that with the fact that they needed to stop the worker permanently there was no reason to use a gun. Like best case scenario is they kill him with guns in the ark then he revives elsewhere and they lose his location as he does shenanigans. Realistic case is that the guns dont even do anything

      @@secretlemon5008 the worker only claims he can do that, he's never actually shown doing it. also that dialog is debatably non-canon (assuming you take games over books) and makes little realistic sense since his boss fight still has him loosing health and all that. id assume he was just gloating to raidriar for the fun of it. but even if you do consider it canon a gun was a loose example. im saying that the honour code the deathless follow (Aegis) is no longer something Sirus should feel the need to follow when going against the worker. the technology the deathless (and sirus) have access to is immense, there really wasn't a reason to just stick with Aegis-limited weaponry

      It seems so crazy that at one point in time “high quality,” “fun” and “mobile game” were not mutually exclusive. It’s pretty clear now that monetisation and micro-transactions are the sole reason we don’t have good mobile games anymore.
      These games weren’t free, if I remember correctly the original was $4.99 in the App Store when it was released, but that’s all you would pay. It incentivised the devs to make good games that people would be happy to spend their money on. Before Clash of Clans released infinity blade was always the #1 highest grossing app. When Clash released the amount of money it made was absolutely insane, Clash revolutionised how to monetise a games. From that point on, all the mobile games became that same grindy, buy my gems, waiting simulators we have today. It totally destroyed the experience as a player. I’d love to see a return of paying for your game and getting the whole game.

I played the fuck out of these games when they came out, and there are SO many secrets in these games, like special negative bloodline challenges, hidden bosses, special gem effects, etc. There's even a weapon in IB3 called Torren's Mace (or something like that) which references another Infinity Blade game that never actually got finished. I miss how incredible these games were, and really wish mobile devs would learn something from them.
    Another note - Brandon Sanderson, the author of the novellas, is genuinely my favorite fantasy author ever. The novellas are definitely not his greatest works, but it's cool that he wrote them. Quick note because I’m a stickler for these games. In Infinity Blade 3, to say that characters can teleport away is largely true but technically inaccurate. In reality, it’s a kill switch that destroys their current body so they can be reborn again into a new body. This is how the Soulless God King escaped back to the Worker, and this is how Siris and Isa would return to the hideout after a successful mission because they were short on time and this method was much faster.
    Again, thank you so much for making this video. I played all 3 games to hell and back, but I never read the books, so I got to learn a lot from your story analysis here.

      Doing everything else like finding all the maps secrets was difficult, mostly because of the gold grind. But when you grinded for the rainbow gems and the 400+ attack/defense/health gems, it got difficult. For those who did not get a chance to play these games I *highly* suggest checking out the game’s soundtrack by Josh Aker.
    Epic Games removed the soundtrack years ago when Infinity Blade was discontinued and removed, but Josh managed to release all the tracks in one complete score a while later.
    I cannot stress enough how stellar the score for this game is . If you thought even one of the tracks played in this video sounded interesting I implore you go and give this soundtrack a listen.

I’m sad it’s most recent legacy was just the infinity blade being ripped and lazily slapped into Fortnite without any real homage to these awesome games :(

      The one of the greatest strengths of IB was how it used its platform. It just wouldn't work as well on console and computer, because it's not going to flow as easily and seamlessly without the benefits of touch screen for directional parrying and slashing, and compact button placement with one controller, your fingers.

    • @ManuelKoegler
      @ManuelKoegler ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Derploop one platform I think it’d ironically work on would be the wii (& Wii U), because the wii motes are probably perfect for imitating the sword movements.
      Would be tiresome as hell though, I’d expect to be exhausted after a couple battles.
      If they’d ever port it to other platforms, they’d have to have wii motes or something like it (such as the ps move), otherwise they’d have to change up gameplay a lot to accommodate standard controllers and/or keyboard & mouse.

    Thanks for helping me find out what happened at the end of the 3rd game, even if I still may go and watch that 3rd LP.
