Manufacturers would rather make another TMNT figure line (as an example) which they know retailers will stock then take a chance on old properties like BSG and Buck Rogers.
I think it depends on how big that market is. Also, there is a window of opportunity for these things that closes. It is based upon having enough people who remember the show but who also have disposable income. There were no 10-30-year-olds buying the classic stuff, because they were not born when the show was on. And there were probably few people over 55 who were buying classic stuff either. The problem now is that the demographic that wants classic BSG merch is aging out of wanting it.
I dont know what more Eaglemoss could've realistically made- an Eastern Alliance ship? Ship of Lights? A pack of Colonial Fleet ships? A Lucifer would have definitely been cool👍
There were still plenty of ships they could've made. I've always wanted the sewage ship that was captained by Starbuck on the secret special mission, from the re-imagined BSG. 🙂 I'm for real! Lots of people also wanted Eaglemoss to produce the Cloud 9 luxury liner, Bulldog's Stealthstar, or the Viper AF and Phoenix AF from the Caprica TV show. The list could go on.
The original design of the Base Ship, as seen displayed on the War Book database, would have made a great Eaglemoss miniature. Cylons tankers would have been nice too, as well as the mines from the pilot.
They had so much opportunity but I think that Galactica was secondary to them. It was all about Star Trek, Ghostbusters and Back To The Future in their last year.
@@battlestarcollectica7106 With the items Master Replicas has been releasing on a weekly basis, I was surprised to find out Eaglemoss also had figures from Gremlins. I enjoy those movies, but have zero interest having miniatures of any of those characters. Original Galactica sells and has been successfully selling for years. They really should have given us more, though I am grateful for what they did produce.
In addition to some of the ones mentioned below, the obvious one would have been a Colonial Movers ship, which was in the opening of every original episode. It got a lot of repeat screen time.
Indeed disappointing news but not really surprising either. I am grateful for what we got from Eaglemoss, I still can't quite believe what they produced in the time they had... So many ships, some figures and two books, it was a great time for fans... and yeaaaah, at least we finally get an awesome Colonial Shuttle!!! 😀😉👍
Yeah, I think we were lucky with what we got. There were ships they produced that I never expected. Vipers and the Galactica are obvious. But we also got the Heavy Raider and the Stealth Ship. That was diving a bit deep. I did not know that I wanted a Colonial One until they made it.

Not sure why you wouldn't pick up some of the models and deck it out with photoetched to produce a much nicer looking display piece. You can also get good lighting hits for them as well.
Well, at least I got the Pegasus from the new series. I got the Galactica from the miniseries, then mistakenly ordered a second one. Or so I thought... it was the Blood and Chrome version. Also the original Base Star as well as the new one. There was a Battlestar Galactica board game with miniatures of the fighters from the new version, as well as heavy shuttles and raptors. Seems to have gone belly up, though.
I was able to get the Viper and Raider for about $35.00 each following the shutdown on amazon through sheer good timing. The bottom of the Viper always struck me as having those slots for landing gear. Maybe it is just me.
I wish they had stuck around long enough to round out some of the BSG line. An original shuttle would have been nice. What we got was the 2003 version of the 1978 shuttle, not the 1978 shuttle.
I hoped for an Eastern Alliance Destroyer and a Ship of Lights. That would have been awesome and instant buy for me. A classic Cylon Centurion bust with some kind of Chrome effect would have given me palpitations too but like everyone else has already pointed out, I'm happy we got what we got although honestly I could have done without the Muffit II figure - I mean really?
I just got my Eagle moss Pegasus & Valkyrie paid 108$ for Pegasus, 68$ for Valkyrie . As well as the Blood And Chrome version of the Galactica with all it's armor and guns for 217$ So the prices have already shot up. Makes me sad right as i discover the models it's at the end of the production. I'd love to have an Artemis Battlestar or stealth star.

Master Replicas is not the original company, nor are any of the employees the same all the way to the CEO. Another company bought the name. The original went out when they went over George Lucas' head and developed a lightsaber for a character he explicitly told them not to. And they even went as far as to have Shannon Randall come in and sign plaques for it.
How do you go bust, with all the people who went absolutely ape over the ships they made... so many were perfect(and I got my start with micro machines in the 90s, I'm sure many know how they were.) Then we got the masterful eagle moss stuff. Which was like art compared to micromachines. So sad..
They picked up many licenses that did not sell well. Suppliers in China wanted to be paid and they could not meet their obligations. Banks would not extend credit and that was that. Over in a matter of months!
@@battlestarcollectica7106 with the plague it is kinda understandable for some of it... but it is just such a huge market. I guess even someone who bumbles into profit is still susceptible to a repetitive bad luck/timing streak. So sad still.
I'll never forgive eaglemoss for taking payment for a Blood & Chrome Galactica years before they went under but never delivering the actual model. Though their reviewers got their copies. 🤬

Eaglemoss had already ended their Galactica line before they went bust so it's no real surprise that Master Replicas have nothing new to offer.
There was always that hope that at least the Pegasus would have been discovered as it was rumored for years.
I really hope master replicas will continue the BSG line

Hopefully Master Replicas will continue BSG as the Eaglemoss stock they have been selling has done well for them. We can only hope!
I can't believe the price tags on these. I got Starbuck's Mark II Viper for $50 on Amazon Oct. 26, 2021. Its $200 with only 1 in stock.
