I know this is ten years later, but I am looking at all the old things we used to do. I have big sheets of the metal tape, hubby is a plumber and gets all this stuff.
I love this idea, I've seen on different projects and wondered how the embossing was done. I made my husband bring me a roll out of his shop last night, love this look that looks like a ton of different techniques in one.
I love this technique. I think I already have some of this tape from a couple of projects we were doing around the house. It is always a struggle trying to find masculine things to do for my brothers gifts. This will work perfectly. Thank you. Deborah
Fantastic tutorial and ideas.I did not know that foil can be obtained in a roll so I'm going to search the hardware stores today for some. Thanks for the great vid/Tutorial. xxx
I am definitely going to try that. I always run my embossing and dies through my big shot twice too. I havent had mine long so this is a great tutorial. Definitely going to play now. Hugs Sara
Thanks for sharing this lovely video - I watched Rachel0013's a few weeks ago and loved that too. I love the effect you achieved on your gorgeous frame, (I think you said it was dry wall tape) it came out etched sooooo deeply, did you use a double layer of the dry wall tape or was it something else? If you have time to let me know I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for your tips regarding not needing any special tools too. Warmest best wishes,
I love your tutorial, thanks. I have some of this metal tape in my stash, so I plan to try some of these techniques. I have not thought to run it through my embossing and die cutter. What a super idea. Great job and thanks for sharing =) PS be careful when replying to "haters", folks, some of them are simply using fake pictures and names to get you to respond and get your info. Best to just ignore them.
+Geraint Pierce I have seen a lot of craft videos on the internet by boys and men, but find most of them live outside the U.S. It is too bad that here in this country we make men feel "girly" if their crafts aren't big enough. Know what I mean? Like, it's okay to paint a car, but it's "girly" to paint something like a journal. And when did "girl-like" become an insult anyway...? (comment not meant for you, GP). To heck with them all, Geraint. Go for it!
