Increase the ride height, modify some higher quality oil dampers in the rear, add some weight to the front, would be perfect for a small scale trail truck 🙌
@AMPROEngineering it would be a really neat body/chassis to try and turn into a prerunner kind of build, brushless motor wider fenders long travel plush suspension
I have had the kit version of this in my Banggood shopping cart for a few months, but never pulled the trigger. It looks really nice, I'm just not sure I want to put in the work to figure out how to make it a capable little thing. I guess having watched this, I may pull the trigger after all. And I do _love_ building these things, be it as a kit or custom builds I think up myself. I have a 1:10 (more modern) Pajero body I 3D printed that I still have to assemble too though, that I may have to build first.:) Sure, this thing doesn't look like it's super high quality or has crazy performance, but it looks really nice going over stuff in your video. And I am a big Pajero fan, having owned a MK1 Pajero years ago when I lived in Australia for 3,5 years for uni. That Pajero was a real blast, and super capable off-road. This LDRC could probably do well with a stronger motor, if that's not too hard to do?
I have the kit too and wanted to mess with this before I dove in. I think it is prime for a custom build. Quality is better than you would think but still cheap (I mean it doesn't cost much) and I think as long as you run it within its means, it will be fine.
@@AMPROEngineering I'll keep the kit in my cart then, and order one once I'm done with the few kits I haven't built yet. Will be an interesting project, and I'll see what you do with it, if you decide to make some cool stuff for it. Currently building a WPL C44KM that I've painted and weathered, that I'll run brushed to begin with, but that I have a brushless outrunner for. The C44KM was supposed to be discontinued, but showed up back in stock over at the WPL site this summer, and I just had to have one. They look so nice, and I thought I had missed out. :)
A stronger motor and softer tires would do wonders. The ride height is a big issue though, it's an okay trail truck but not even close to becoming a crawler.
Ampro video! 🎉 LDRC has some interesting features on some of its models. That radio, for example, you can actually put the wheel on the other side, super useful for people who steer with their left hand. Scale looks are a plus in this model, although I'd have preferred if they modelled it the Pajero that came out after this one. Wheels and tyres are dreadful, especially the wheels. 😅
I would love to see how big it is next to a Tamiya tractor truck with trailer. I think it coming in as a 1/14 Scale is great . I would really like to pick one up just to have a vehicle that matches the size of my trucks.
Tonight's dinner will be perfect with this video In the background 🤌, have you looked at the JJRC CC809? Apparently, it's a tr4m clone with a 370 motor. Bought one recently for the Jeep xj body to match my real one.

I installed a new body for this chassis. I have a ton of applications already! haha!
LDR/C 1297 Mitsubishi Montero / Pajero!!!~~~ Thank you for the nice car and the video!
Sure thing!
What a fun little truck. Love the bounce.
Yeah i do too.
Nice little truck 👍👍
Ran really well I have to admit!

That is low and the back end is quite bouncy. Shocks would definitely be my first upgrade.
Yeah i think that would solve that which I felt was the main issue.

The wheels are just awful....tires are ugly but rather useable.
What character is spectating @12:15? 🧐
LOL that is a great question!
It was cutouts from Tombstone on that trail.

Wow that would be a good idea! It is too big not i mean not all that far off. I think it is more like 1/12 or so.
Wanna see what you are gonna do with the kit version.
Oh I am very excited about the build!
Please do another video on the Marui Thunderbird!!!!
yes I will do that soon!
😁😁your awseome
I always forget the size of the "mini" bushido so i might be wrong, but this body looks super close to fitting that chassis.
I am sure there are a ton of uses for this body.
Gonna need to see a trailer behind that next time Lol.
Hahah! I have a plan for this one....you wont see the body but you will see the chassis....

I have not seen that. Ill take a look
It's a missed with the RTR for this one, the KIT would probably be better. It needs to be higher, we cannot crawl with this.
I think the kit is the way to go but in no way is this a crawler. Even with more clearance it still cant do much. 100% a trail truck.
