Thank you for sharing your process. These are incredibly beautiful, and you’ve inspired me to start pressing flowers from my garden so I can make things like this. Thank you so much!
My Oh My, I don't think your journal could be more adorable, it's perfect. Didn't even know you could colour dried flowers, thanks for that technique. Tfs xo
Good morning nina, did I enjoy the video????? Yes, yes, yes. The journals look so good, they show how much you love doing this, that you put so much love and care into making them. I learn a lot of things and love the experiments with boiling, pressing, mixing glues . Thank you again for the video. Have a good week, take care and see you soon again...love lenaxxx
Good afternoon Lena. I’m so glad you enjoyed this weeks video. I’m not the quickest at putting a journal together, but believe me, it’s from the heart ❤️. Take care, stay safe and have a lovely week 💕 xxxx
Thank you for this tutorial Nina, I've learned a few new things. I have probably been crafting since before you were born but the wonderful thing about crafting is there is always something new to be learned and take our projects to a new height keeping us coming back for more and in our own works leaving us amazed yet leads us to ask ourselves, "what if?". This was fun. TYFS, Donna, in California.
Hi Nina! I've tried drying some leaves after having watched your video. I did not have that kind of paper, so I used a watercolor sheet, laid out the leaves and covered them with hairspray, and solution of boiling leaves with salt and vinegar. I pressed them and ironed them and got dried leaves plus eco dyed pages. I will show them on the facebook group. Thanks so much. take care! hugs.
Hello Nina, Thank you for sharing, this video of dried flowers from the garden brought back fond memories of my Mom drying flowers from the garden when I was a little girl. Have a lovely day! Your nature journals are coming along beautifully.
So beautiful, Nina! You solved the problem of faded dried flowers, and they look amazing in your journal. I am totally in love with the lace on the binding! 😍
Your work is always spectacular! These journals are gorgeous. The pressed flowers are fabulous, too! The lace on the side turnef out do very lovely! You certainly do have an eye for what will work, and a brain that thinks outside the box. TFS. I did. God bless and stay safe.
as always you've given me more ideas on what to do with dried flowers...you and your videos are the best...I don't know if you have tried ironing the flowers once all the glue has dried completely...I tried this recently and I love the texture and how it flattens everything out ...one can use parchment paper on top of any decoupaged items and iron with a hot dry iron...I use a heat resistant vinyl which is semi opaque so I can see my items underneath...love your videos...
Wow. I adore this journal, it's pages, and the dried flower ephemera you have created. I have a file filled with bird feathers I have found on hikes and walks through my neighborhood over a period of 40 years! At last I know what to do with them. I also have a small asst of dried flowers to use this way also. I'm so excited I can't wait to do this. Thank you so much, Nina XOXOJane
Oooh what a great way to bring those flowers back to life... I really liked the lavender on the hessian/burlap tape... I might need to find some of that... You are flying along with fun ideas for this nature theme... Great video thank you Nina!! ❤️😁🌹🌹
Thanks Elaine. I think dried flowers are one of those things that we all love, but are too frightened to use because of their fragility. This is a lovely way to use them 💕
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia it is I have some daisies in a book that I would like to use but they have white petals of course so maybe I will try and dry something else first.. ♥️♥️😁🌼
Beautiful work Nina. I've used many dried flowers before but have never used pens in that way to re-colour them - such a great idea. And your journals are fabulous
The nature journals are GORGEOUS! A great idea to wait on sewing in the signatures. It is no wonder your channel has over 32,000 subscribers. Your creations & thus, inspiration, is always spot on. I am very thankful I found you not long after you started making videos😊
Awwww, thanks so much for your lovely kind words Lyn. I’m so grateful that some of your lovely ladies have stuck with me. Its been an amazing journey 💕💕💕 x
Beautiful dried flower projects, Nina! So helpful! Mine are always so colorless, so you gave me some great tips for revitalizing them! TFS the inspiration!
Beautiful!! They remind me of antique botanical prints. I dried some Queen Anne's lace, to paint (or not) to insert in my resin jewelry. I love dried flowers..!!
How lovely to see that we can do something with faded dried flowers, I've got some that were a really vibrant pink, but now look so washed out I did think about throwing them out, but with your technique I'll be able to make use of them, just need to find them in the craft room now. Your beautiful journal is coming along nicely, I'm looking forward to seeing what else your going to do with it. Tfs x
Thank you so much Nina, that’s absolutely and utterly stunning and gorgeous and breathtaking.......I really really love 💕 how you made those embellishments, they look so simple but, impressive at the same time!!!!!! And those journals are really really stunning and gorgeous too. I have a microwave flower press, and it’s takes no time at all to get the results you want. I’m definitely going to have a go at those embellishments too. Stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Thanks so much for your lovely comment Mags. I purchased a Microfleur a couple of weeks ago and I’m just trying to get used to the drying times. Hope you stay safe and well too 💕 xxx
These are gorgeous, Nina. I like them very much. I have had a go at 'refreshing' faded dried flowers with watercolours - not particularly successfully - so I will definitely try alcohol markers now. Great tip. Many thanks as ever.
I love everything about this video. It is my favorite of your so far... I am going to try this flower technique today. Thanks for the inspiration and artistry.
Brilliant! You've already got me emptying out (and restocking) my flower press so this is a fabulous tutorial to show how the faded flowers can be revitalised and used in such a pretty way. Thanks for sharing 💕
Love love love it all Nina, I’ll definitely going to pick more flowers today lol. Your journals are gorgeous, I’m just trying to find a frame for my wedding flowers now . Tfs hugs xx
Those flowers are really beautiful. Unfortunately I don't have a garden and also can't buy any flowers because of my cat that simply is of the opinion that vases are something to be turned over.
Great idea for enhancing the colors of dried flowers, I have a few more tulips that I received for Mother's Day to add to my pressing book. Do you have any ideas on how to preserve tulips that dried on the stem that will break up if I try to flatten them? Thanks Nina for your beautiful inspiration.
I’ve not tried this myself, but you could try spraying them with spray adhesive. I’d apply several light coats from a distance to avoid them falling apart. I hope that helps 💕
2024 November now and this hasnt lost it's charm. I so enjoyed this video. Thanks Nina 😊
Thanks so much Elizabeth. One of my favourite makes 🌸
Love the idea of tissue paper over a dried flower to protect and secure it for the long haul. Everything you made in the video is beautiful.

Thanks Edna. I think the reason alcohol markers work so well is because they dry so quickly and therefore don’t saturate the flower 💕
Very beautiful👍
Thank you so much 💕
Love this so much Nina..must get my dried pansy petals out that I have had for years! Could never throw them out and am so happy I didn’t!
