Thank you. My brother gave me his dvd player because he said it wouldn't play...I took it apart to clean it. SAME DVD player & SAME problem **IMPORTANT** You don't have to remove the round spinning center....the bracket does pop off. It doesn't have screws but it has a small plastic clip on each side. Barely press and release each clip with small flat screwdriver or other small flat thingy...repeat on other side...and It comes right off.
Ok, so I kind of helped mine along by doing what she said with the grey piece on the top of the disc holder. It did click into place, but still wouldn't spin. So, I slightly started to spin the DVD, and it worked! Thank goodness, it works. Now I have to go to work, when all I wanna do is lay in bed and binge watch my favorite show!!!
Alright girl.....I bought mine 45 minutes ago and it denied 3 different DVDs. I never thought I'd be cleaning or shifting a laser inside a DVD player but ummmmm here we go, I'll letcha know if it works or if I march my happy self right back to Walmart. Thanks for this video!
Norelle Cine Dollz if your still getting a no cd on the screen, and you’ve matched it up then there could be a problem with the laser. I’ve fixed my sons countless times and his dvd just finally went caput.. the laser was messed up. I will post another video with the technique being clearer😊
What you did with lifting and moving something back into place with your fingers was below the image screen but maybe we can figure it out from what you said.
@karenedie Good Morning! sorry about that. I’ll need to make another video so it is more clear. But, there is a grey circular piece that gets knocked off kilter. When you carefully lift the main black bridge it’s connected to, you can adjust the placement of that grey piece. Gently shift it to the middle so that when you slowly release it it remains over the laser. You can also take a q-tip and carefully clean the top of the laser is needed, prior to doing the step I previously stated. Sometimes the small gears can be misaligned as well on the inner left part where the tray opens and closes. Sometimes I have to do this a couple of times before it works, but if all of this doesn’t work, then it may be that the motor or laser is unfortunately broken. These are just some things that I found that worked for me. I had two of these models, and so far, it’s been doing what I need it to. I had to throw away my sons and buy a better model after awhile, it couldn’t be fixed anymore. But this technique worked for me for about 2yrs! Hope this works! ☺️🤍
@@Reenie_B. I appreciate the video. I'm confused about the little grey piece; mine wiggles whether I manipulate it from the top or the bottom, there is no indication that it ever moves back into place, and it seems to shift to the center every time I test it with a disc
@@ilvivente Hey Aaron! So mine actually made a small, light click when I slid it into the center. Mine would slide to the left or right when it was out of alignment. If it’s wiggling freely it probably isn’t centered. I had to hold it there as I pushed the top gear on top of it. Sometimes I had to do it a couple of times before it worked. I hope this helps! ☺️

$25? Sweetie, I payed like $11 for the same model from Walmart. It's a piece of junk of course. Only plays certain DVDs. Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll take mine apart and clean the lens.
Mine worked fine for about two months. Now it's picky about which dvds it wants to play. I bought it last summer. They had a shit load of them on the shelf. $10.99 I think it was They actually had another model that was a little more expensive. That must be the better one 😏
Yeah, I guess it's like they say. "You get what you paid for". Cheap, lasts about as long as my attention span. Throw the old ONN out, and go get another one for $10 and use it for two months. I don't know if they make name brand dvd players anymore. I know they don't make VCRs anymore 😼
