You gotta make beats in genres that have high search volume and low competition if you want them to sell. Everybody has juice wrld, lil baby, and drake beats. People are looking for house, drum n bass, alt rock, neo soul, etc. I think they sell themselves especially if they're high quality

If you wanna learn flstudio, watch busy. You wanna learn how to sell beats, find someone else. I could open a tattoo shop and teach people how to tattoo, but getting their work out there and becoming successful at tattooing is a whole other animal. He doesn't know how to sell beats. He knows how to teach people how to make them.
But to be fair, a lot of producers are looking for a quick and easy way to sell beats, but don't want to put the work in. They wanna sell a couple of beats RIGHT NOW for a lot of money and life doesn't work that way. A good start would be going on Instagram and following thousands of rappers and send every single one of them your info and link to some beats. The laws of percentages and probability will be in your favor. The higher the number of people you send your stuff to, the better your percentage and probability becomes. But people don't wanna do that. They wanna sit on their computer or phone all day and not make anything, rather than use that same phone or computer to make money. Time wasted is money lost and the truth is most people are lazy and would rather sit around all day complaining and shooting down every idea with reasons why they can't do what is suggested to make money. Producers fail before they even try. You hear things like "yeah but no ones looking for boombap type beats" or "I can't send thousands of people beats bro you know how long that's gonna take" and blah blah blah.
