What is incredible about this coaster is that unlike many of the world's top coasters, this one doesn't look great on a POV. Then you ride it. My god the airtime.

@@staringcorgi6475 I’m terrified of these kinds of roller coasters. Well, I was. I actually went on this thing to try it out during my senior trip. None of my friends really peer pressured me into riding this, but they did know I hated these kinds of roller coasters. I will say that I thought I felt my soul being ripped from my body; from the first drop to when it finally came to a stop. I absolutely hated it during the moment… but thinking back on it, I can say that I’d actually go back on it. On an empty stomach, of course.

Skyrush was the first ride I rode at HersheyPark. I had no I idea that this was the most intense ride at HersheyPark.

Honestly it's obnoxiously fast...but in like a good way. Also, the restraints and the length on this ride are the only two things holding it back from being the best ride on Earth.

I absolutely love parks that have rides that intertwine with each other! It gives the park so much more character!!
Not only one of the best POV videos of this ride, but you showcased that insane beginning where you gently move at about half a mile an hour before the cable lift grabs the undercarriage and sends you upward at that insanely fast speed. Very well done!
Skyrush, Surprisingly only lifts you up the hill 20 MPH. It looks way faster though.
@@yoink7626 Looks and FEELS faster, too. I know that Intimidator 305 also goes at the same speed, but it doesn't have the same feel.
What I love about this ride is that it doesn't EVER give you a chance to mentally prepare OR recover. Where other coasters' layouts give you a chance to recover from the last turn, slope, or loop, this thing just blasts you off and it's all go until the end. I didn't find the restraints uncomfortable, just super scary because your shoulders are free.
The outside seat in the very back row is the most intense airtime on any ride of all time, imo.

This is a bucket list coaster for me, I love how fast the lift hill is.
It's definitely incredible. I finally got my chance Saturday as I normally go during the winter when it's closed, and honestly, more coasters need a lift like that. The concept of hoisting everything with a giant magnet makes for a super smooth and speedy lift to the top.
Man that was one discombobulating looking ride, tracks twisted everywhere, you didn't know where you were headed next and the airtimes I could feel through the the screen, amazing
That drop with the freight train going by was the best part of the video for me.

Skyrush is just completely messed up, in all ways. So, lets build a ride with some of the strongest airtime in the world, but use the world's worst restraints so people literally are at risk of major bruises in their legs. Perfect! In all seriousness, this coaster layout is phenomenal, and I really do hope they can fix the restraint problem soon, if they do at all.

@Jose V. well I wanna go on it. Looks badass to me. I'll take leg crushing restraints over shoulder restraints anyday. Got stuck on valrayvyn at cedar point for cedar point for about 15 mins and I swear I couldn't breath with how tight the restraints were. Fun ride but I will never ride it again.

It is amazing just how low is the noise of this rollercoaster. By the video we can see it really runs smoother than most coasters we've seen.
This coaster is insane. Probably favorite ever. This video showcases this weird effect where the car is moving so fast, the shutter speed of the camera fails to capture it when you look at the track. It looks smooth and chill in the video, but really, it is speeding along! Crazy forces and amazing air time on those first two drops.
finally rode this ride for the first time on Saturday. and holy crap, the POV doesn’t do it justice. that first drop is INSANE and you go up so quickly.
great video. I was on it yesterday and it reminded me how no video can show how much this thing literally wants to kill you every time you ride it. Throw your hands in the air on a wing seat and its a blast

I was confused at first seeing the coaster cars rush out of the station because it looked like they were being launched when I knew this ride has a lift hill. It all made sense once I saw that the lift hill uses a cable.
This looks like a nice coaster with plenty of airtime. Definitely looks like one of those that's a thrill to ride, but hard to convey on video. Thank you for sharing this coaster with us though. Gives me even more reason to eventually visit Hersheypark.

This does NOT do it justice! This ride was fantastic! The climb was steep and incredibly fast with no delay over the peak. The speed was addicting and the curves were perfectly engineered. 10/10!!
Me and my family went on this for the first time this past Saturday for my birthday. This goes way faster then the video shoes, you are unable to keep you're head fully on the head rest as well. Amazing ride and super intense!

that was a 10 second lift hill. it literally takes you 200 feet in 10 seconds so thats 20 feet a second. literally amazing
I love how they kept its name true! “Sky Rush” literally RUSHING UP to the top! One of the fastest chain lift coasters I’ve ever seen!!! ❤
I rode this back row far left seat hanging over nothing and I swear to God I hung on for dear life because I was convinced I could fly out of my seat at any second. I literally was convinced I could have died and I am a coaster enthusiast and are not afraid of coasters at all, but this one I will never ride it again.
About close to three years ago in June of 2021 as of the time I’m currently typing this (March 2024), I worked at Chick Fil A and was about 17 and they took us on a company trip during Sunday to Hershey Park. I had a fear of roller coasters before then my entire life despite never riding one but this time I decided I wanted to try a ride and conquer my fears. I was also socially pressured being around friends and coworkers to try it and not look terrified, and I didn’t want to spend an entire day standing and waiting for everyone at Hershey while they were on the rides. So I decided to go and try it, and the first roller coaster they put me on was Skyrush. I cannot tell you how silently terrified I was the entire time😭 especially once the roller coaster started going up at 0:20 I had a similar reaction as that guy except some more not so nice words😭 I definitely blacked out a couple times but didn’t pass out, but it was some of the funnest shit I’ve ever done in my life. Haven’t been back to Hershey or an amusement park in general since but I’m definitely going on a roller coaster if I do. I want to go to Six Flags in Jersey

Candymonium is the fastest ride now, but Skyrush is and will always be the most near and dear to me.
PoV does not do it justice. That first drop is the only element on any coaster that genuinely scared the shit out of me. I also almost fully blacked out on the long turn towards the end. Skyrush is INSANE.
Those airtime hills are just unbelievable. This ride does NOT hold back. And that’s what makes it so incredible.
Went on this ride 3 times yesterday and I absolutely love this ride it’s not to scary yet has a perfect amount of thrill

That lift hill makes the ride. You go up so fast when you peak for the drop it throws you out of the seat, violently. Definitely one of the craziest Moments I've ever experienced on a coaster

Same, i've rode so many "elite" coasters, yet my first time on skyrush last month, my heart was pounding before we went up the lift hill.

This ride is absolutely insane. Rode 3rd row and absolutely loved it
I have rode this coaster and the air time you get on this ride is crazy. It is between Candymonium and Sky Rush that is the best coaster at Hershey Park.

Wow! Once that cable grabs hold of the train it shoots you up to the top without warning! That's impressive.
I haven't been to Hersheypark since 1987! It has definitely changed. I like the way it crosses over the Comet's track. I would love to go back there.

The Intimidator at King's Dominion is another underrated coaster; it has been known to cause grey-outs on some of the turns
Skyrush is such a great example of how you can't judge a coaster from a POV. The layout looks pretty tame compared to (say...) Intimidator 305 and it doesn't look THAT fast or even that exciting, but my-oh-my, what a ride.
I had thought it was the slightly less superior coaster to Intimidator 305 until I rode it. I can't decided if this or i305 is my favorite coaster
They are both insane coasters. I305 is more intense, but I like Skyrush more.
Intimidator 305 focuses on speed and low to the ground turns, and Skyrush focuses on ejector airtime.
When I went last year I saw people crying when they left the ride and I wondered why, and then when I rode I was like "Ohhhhhhhh"

I rode this ride when it first came out. Long line at first but we stayed at Hershey until it closed and got to ride this as many times as we wanted. Your thighs are burning afterwards because when it goes down the restraints gets really tighter around them. One of the best roller coasters, 100%

I remember going on this ride with my mom and my sister and her friends when I was 8 going on 9 in 2016 and I loved it
Some coaster fans might not like my comment but this is a simple out and back coaster. At 77yo, my first coaster ride was at 5yo, so I’ve been riding and judging coasters for 72 years. I’ve traveled all over the United States and been to Canada to experience coasters and waited as much as 6 hours just to ride a new coaster on opening day. I’ll pass along this bit of experience, “never judge a coaster by the way it looks, ride it once, if you don’t like it, don’t ride it again.” I love riding many coaster, “front seat only” but have tried middle and back seats. I have also ridden maybe a dozen coasters I would never ride again. So coaster fans, get out there and ride the best. I see there’s a new record breaker that will open this year. Sadly, a near fatal car accident and 3 heart attack have ended my coaster riding days in 2020.
Skyrush is by definition not an out and back. It's layout is a figure eight. By your logic, all roller coasters are "out and back" because they go out and come back.

I Marathoned this like 15 times and didn't have any issue with the restraints. I could care less about that because this thing has awesome positives and airtime. Number 2 coaster for me

I was scared of coasters since I was little after doing the "Mouse trap" in Wildwood, NJ. I rode this yesterday with my girlfriend and friends thinking it wouldn't be too bad since there are no inversions, and the speed is 'only' 75mph. Boy was I wrong. Hated it during the ride, but glad I did it!
I was concerned about my mask flying off when I rode this in 2020.

Hershey Park has the SixFlags type of rides they have 2 Hyper Coasters, itamin launch and a RMC and more
It was closed when we were there this past week so we couldn’t get on it
