Hey, this is almost in my backyard! Rode it 5 times a few weeks ago. What surprised me is how the ride experience changes depending on the occupancy level and weight distribution. One time it was fairly smooth with minimal water splashing, but the other was quite crazy with lots of spinning and getting soaked. Really great addition to the park, but as others are saying, probably going to be a maintenance hell. It has already been closed a lot after opening because the boats are not following the expected course and are bumping too hard in the sides of the end of the ramp. They even tried out adding a bumper on the side after the first drop, but they took it away shortly after. Also pretty funny hearing my local Flemish dialect in one of your videos. The girls were talking about how they don't want to get wet, and the mother on the left seemed to have expected way worse in terms of water splashing.

@@remconet The Efteling used the time from autumn until just before the start of the high season to update the attraction again. Depending on the weather, you may become slightly wet, even soaking wet
Looks like « oxigenarium » at launch. They had to add slow down patches afterwards.. and the ride is much less fun since then.. for same kind of rides, search for « spinning rapids »
I know there might be some people that watch these types of videos just to see people's reactions to the ride, but most are, like me, that want to see the actual ride, so i wish the camera man would at least try to turn the camera forward so we can see the actual ride, most of this film was checking out the other riders and not the ride....
Huh, that one actually feels over-engineered to me. I don’t dislike funky and “unnecessary” elements in general, I like Voltron Nevera for an example, but in this ride they just seem out of place. Also, the ride has close to no theming, an aspect I find very important when it comes to river rapids. It’s highly subjective I guess.

Thumbs down because it claimed I'd see a raft ride, which there were a few moments I did see there was a raft ride; but photographer focus on the 'People' on the raft ride most. That's like claiming to have a restaurant video & focusing on empty dishes instead!!
@@DukeofBlasphemy Show the ride itself, not the people in the ride vehicle!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to see what's to come & the scenery. If you went on this ride, would you stare at the middle of the raft the whole time?! Besides, what would a camera "Under the raft" accomplish?

That is just too cool. What an imaginative take on the roaring rapids concept. And it has the best ending of any water ride I've ever seen.

Also, I believe the park is currently working on adding a Vekoma Suspended Thrill Coaster.
Yes on our third ride someone got soaked!! The other two just some splashing like seen here. Great ride!

Not wet enough, and it looks too calm. Yeah, there's a big slide, but to me, the rapids are what makes these fun.

We wanted to ride it multiple times, it's great, but it is a family-friendly ride.
