As a newbie, I really like how you described your setup and why your using it and what a seam is. I always have a tough time locating your line in other videos. Keep up the great work and showcasing beautiful VHC.

Those little pinch on indicators seem to work the best for me. It’s a very simple system especially with one one fly. I’ll start with two and usually end up fishing one fly. For me it’s more effective.
Where you fish in Australia looks so exotic to me. I have in-laws in Melbourne and hope to make it out there some day and try some Australian trout fishing.

Im from the Northeast US and come summer I love hitting the little cold water streams for Trout...Wet wading Pocket water is Great and though I fish a foam indicator I also enjoy tying on a hopper dropper rig... Those little Wild Brooke and Brown Trout love a bigger Hopper... Great Content.... Thank You.... Tight Lines...Dry Waders...

Have you ever tried nymphing without an indicator. It takes some practice but it is the ultimate line control - it more enjoyable to cast a very natural/traditional way to fish. With have few exceptions I have ditched the indicator for years now - had to go through the learning curve but it is really effective once you get the touch down.

    Thank you Tom,
l very much enjoy that you are not going off to, NZ or deep into the Amazon Jungle.
That you show people, in real time what fishing is available very close to Melbourne . l started indicator fishing in the early '80's. 1st F/rod b/day 65.

Nice work. Easy setup. I often go without an u dictator. I fish nymphs and old wet flies the same way and seem to get most takes near the end of the swing. All great fun. :-)

A few have said, "nice spot", Tom. They're right, it is an utterly beautiful location.
I know where you are . . . and I have to say . . . again, STAY OFF MY RIVER! Will ya?
    It's mine, you hear?
    Good work, man.

Love the videos! When fishing with dry on a dropper for the indicator and a nymph on the bottom, do you use mono or fluorocarbon tippet?

How do you know when you’re deep enough? When would/wouldn’t you use split shot on an indicator rig?

Love this Tommy, very good seeing you fish a different technique. You should do a video doing this on the Tongariro. :)

I have shamefully only fished on dry flies. Do you really need the indicator on a nymph? Doesn't the line go tighter and you can feel the take? Was very hard to see in your video if the indicator moved when you got each take.
