No, the “ultimate hidden gem” is this channel. Love your content!
Thank you that means a lot.
Best birbs ever!
I agree. I absolutely love the poicephalus genus.
Me too @@ModernDayRaptors1
Parents owned an Amazon. I have owned both a sun and green cheek conure but my ARBP is special. No loud screeches but plenty of whistles and mimicry. Poe meows like a cat but that is just my favorite sound he makes.
Yeah I appreciate that they are a very quiet species as well. They make their presence know in much more pleasant subtle ways. I will never understand why they are becoming increasingly hard to come by.
Lovely video. I have had 2 Red Belly Parrot Females and they are wonderful, smart little birds. I will agree, they are territorial. Both of mine have been talkers, but the 1 I have now, has a large vocabulary. She is very cute. She picks up on so many things, is very sweet, loves to fly around, land on my shoulder and say "hey, what you doing." LOL.
That is adorable. I wish they were more readily available as they are awesome, smart, quiet birds. My female use to talk a lot but she now prefers to mimic sounds. My male still talks and sings some.
They are beautiful and very rare where I am. I have a Senegal Parrot plus other birds. Great video!
Thank you. Yeah they are fairly uncommon around here too. I had to fly several states over to get Samara in hopes one day they could produce some babies with Toto. I hate that they are not more popular. I think the whole poicephalus genus is underrated.
How does your Senegal get along with your other birds? I’ve personally never owned one but from what I’ve gathered they tend to be the least tolerant of sharing their space.
Good informative video
I’m glad you enjoyed it.
They weigh like an adult cockatiel.
Cockatiels are much more slender than a red belly but about the same height wise.
@ModernDayRaptors1 oh I will remember that
When you showed his friend , was that a canary winged parakeet (brotogeris)?
Yes he was a white winged parakeet 🥰. They’ve been pals for years and the Brotogeris is in charge of that friendship 🤣
