Saw a show a few weeks before this. Carl was bloated and sat on a stool for much of concert but his vocals were amazing and spirit wonderful. A real warrior. I think he needed to be with an audience. It gave him strength. A beautiful soul
Incredible he could sound this good after chemo treatments. What a loss for his family, the group, and the music industry. Carl’s passing ended The Beach Boys.
I was there! In later years, my wife was near her end and told me this was her favorite song. It was the last song she heard before she passed on. Bless you Carl and bless you for bringing this recording to light!
I just want to hug this man. He had Murray for a father and a life that was clearly emotionally challenged. His gifts, his faith and his way to share it all was a blessing for all of us! Will always love you Carl. I am grateful for your life?

The last July 4th w/Carl in Lewes Del. He sat until GOK, then stood and rocked the rest of the show. Amazing Man.
