Colvin showing his willingness to take the bullet for Carver (and then, later on, taking a lieutenant's pension to save all his supervisors from Rawles wrath) are just 2 examples of what made Colvin such an awesome character.
Carver didn't know it, but this courageous (albeit dumb) act would result in him becoming real police after receiving the subsequent words of wisdom from Bunny.
@@antygee8723 Good question. Up until Bunny gave him that meaningful explanation about what it really means to work with the community to make a real difference, he was just knocking heads and chasing stats like almost everyone else in the department. After that scene is when we started watching a new Carver, who built rapport within the community and became more effective (real police) while doing so.

@@Uajoke 🙏
It was his bullshit, it would be worst for him letting his supervisors get fucked
Damn I don’t want this Hamsterdam series to end, it’s been great!

@erics362 dayum that's good shit.
Crutchfield thinking about this crime scene: "Fuck you Carver! Fuck. You."
After his confession, he looks down at his shoes.
Damn that’s an amazing detail!
Makes my mind wonder what the alternative was for the shooter if he didn't "voluntarily" surrender...
Same fate as Little Man, probably.
Oh yeah?
It worked!
