Once again another great video from u guys. I will be down to grab one this week. Just learned more in a 15 min video than in 15 years of learning by myself.
If you place the clip on the table with materials in it and tap it carefully in the back with a finger the materials Will spread out.. Marco Crippa showed my that personally a Day i had the honor of tying flies next to him in germany.. Great demonstration of the tool! I love mine!
Awesome video! Since I’m just learning a lot of these techniques, do you need to clean out the fluff as I’ve seen demonstrated on other videos for tying wings etc ?
Great tutorial! Thank you! I’m very new to the fly tying world, so forgive me if this is a dumb question, but what’s the tool called that you hung on the bottom of your dubbing loop to twist the line?
How is the spring tension on this tool? I think the Pettijean setup is a good concept, but I found the springs WAYYY too weak for my taste. I'm pretty sure if a fly landed on one of the "handles", the Pettijean clamps would open. :-) Cheers!
Cheech - From experience, do you believe the composite twist loop/thread method is more durable as a substitute hackle material on the fly vs. the typical hackle wrap method?
Nice tool. I have a clamp set. Yours is very compact. Good design. So yup You’re sold out. And the block to work the pesky cdc into place is very clever.
Trout line in Europe make a base the exact same shape with grooves made out of aluminium and a tool that does the same thing called a trout line robo clip
@@FlyFishFood I do own one 1️⃣. The bag clips grasp and hold the material BETTER than the clamp. Flagler agrees 💪🤷I sent pics as proof. I found the cross on the epiphany. I’m busy working out 🏋️♀️.

glencamblin thanks man! They might sell out before tomorrow morning. We have a whole bunch more coming in Saturday.
One of my favorite tools and an excellent tutorial on some uses!
great demo on options with dubbing loop and various materials.
Excellent tool. Very versatile and seems easy to use. Thank you for sharing.
Just bought one. Thanks for the demo.
Great tip to use magic eraser ! It works great!

I just ordered one off you guys and cant wait to give it a go 👍😃👍
Very cool man I have been on a loop journey lately the possibilities are endless these are some great ideas.
Fair play, brilliant demonstration of different methods, using this tool, who distributes it.
As Gomer Pyle says, “Shazam!!!”. My thumbs have still not mastered the clamp but this video sure is helping.
So, is there no need to clean out the deer hair at 6:00 or do the shorts and fuzzies come out on their own?
Great tool. Better than a Mark Petitjean tool !
Thank you for a very informative tutorial.
Great Job on the multi functions of this great tool!! I need one now!!! thanks for always doing a great job!!
Awesome video! Since I’m just learning a lot of these techniques, do you need to clean out the fluff as I’ve seen demonstrated on other videos for tying wings etc ?
Great demonstrations, Cheech.
Great vid. Thx for (finnaly) making an non-german version😊👍. Really useful.
For tying nymphs, do you prefer the multi-clamp tool or the minus version?
I’ve been using an extra large binder clip for cdc and it works great and won’t set you back 50$
Brilliant video love the way it worked the deer hair also I have about 6 pairs of those fiskars scissors don't use anything else !!!!!
You need to patient that magic eraser block! That is the coolest idea I’ve seen yet!
Great tutorial! Thank you! I’m very new to the fly tying world, so forgive me if this is a dumb question, but what’s the tool called that you hung on the bottom of your dubbing loop to twist the line?
A dubbing twister
I feel like i'd tie more soft hackle type patterns if i buy this, so i guess I should buy one.
Zachary Sauer ha ha. Bingo!
I need this tool in my life!
Hey thanks for making this video!! Great demonstration!!!!
Other than the price of the clip good video and instructions
Have you ever tried using the clamp with oversized dry fly hackle?
I like it , looks like it would work really good with Marabou , and Possum for collars on articulated streamers or intruders patterns :-)
You can use the whole CDC feather if you just loop the feather over to make your wing. All of it can be used. Deer hair looked great.
CDC stem is bad

Now that is a pretty cool tool
Dime precios para España Swiss cdc y
Very helpful post. Great ideas.

Great instructional video!
Useful video, thanks
Excellent !!!!!
What happened to the Petitjohn products?
Nice tool. I have a clamp set. Yours is very compact. Good design.
So yup
You’re sold out.
And the block to work the pesky cdc into place is very clever.
And a very sweet soft hackle tie with the tool.
Great tool where can I purchase Multi function tool let me know and a great video 👍
Squirrel: looks like Muskrat to me, still very very good
are these tools available in the uk
We're told they are but we don't know who sells them....
Could you just use a flat, metal, chip-clip instead of some fancy Swiss tool?
Could you? Perhaps. You could also probably use a hammer to dig a hole.
@@FlyFishFood Sounds like I need to get a chip clip AND a hammer then! haha tahnks for the info and great video!
Espectacular
Trout line in Europe make a base the exact same shape with grooves made out of aluminium and a tool that does the same thing called a trout line robo clip
This looks way better than that glorified potato chip bag clip..... I need it.
Good instructional video. But you get probably better results, if you use the original Petitjean tools after watching his vids.
G. Huber petitjean tools work great. Just very very hard to find in the USA now.
49 dollars more than a chip clip. Sure, why not
No way I'm paying 44.00 for that clip it may be designed for the job and nice but sorry I will never pay that much for one not even half that price
Dont need one for 45.00
Nope. Nobody does... "Need" is a funny word, but the people who "want" one for $45 sure dig them!
It works well, but is way too expensive. I'll wait for the Chinese to clone it and sell it $5.
We’re waiting.
Bulldog clip . Bag clip . Cheaper and better
Cheaper, yes. Better? You've never used one right?

@@RandyChinery friggin Flagler. At least he doesn’t try to burn everything with a cautery tool like rosenbauer.
There's a fluctuation in the audio. Maybe a solenoid?
