- Hi guys! In this video, I wanted to go through which documents I Uploaded before my CR-1/IR-1 Interview and how I uploaded them. I also go through some technical details on the upload requirements and when you would want to upload your docs. I also talk about the U.S. Embassy experience in my U.S. Immigration process for Spouse Visa. These methods have helped me in my visa journey and hopefully will help you too.

When should I Expect my interview to be for CR-1 / IR-1 Visa? DQ date was 10/12/22.
For Mumbai Consulate? They are currently interviewing candidates with DQ of July 2022, so you should be getting IL in next few months. Good luck !

You are making the officers job easy if you upload them before hand, since he/she will have reviewed everything when you go to embassy. Some people don’t upload, but in my case it helped. At least everyone should upload updated I-864

No, your DS-260 is locked and cannot change. You need to take the DS-260 confirmation page with you to interview. It is the page with the barcode at end of DS-260

Whose section should upload onto? Should we upload all recent tax returns and updated I-864 under the sponsor's section or beneficiary's section of additional documents?
Yes the I-864 and tax related docs should be uploaded under the petitioner/sponsor section that says “Affadavit of Support” or AOS.

Hi Noreen! I didnt do any attestation from MOFA in my case.
Just make sure your true translation of nikahnama is attested from a reliable authority.

My father use i864 2020 and then dq, now iam going for interciew, my father is not working since 2 yesrs, and do not file tax, so i shld not update i864 for my father, but i have updated my joint sponser i864 and his recent tax year, is it fine?
You have to update your father DQ as well since the main sponsor is always the main petitioner. Make sure you have latest update I-864 in CEAC uploaded before interview and then take in interview as well. If it’s not latest for 2022 tax year you can get placed in AP

I my CR 1 file DQ on September 2022 for my mom papa and my brother age 23 years so if possible he can get visa too?
If he was under 18 when u filed petition. They will minus number of yrs usic took to approve the case. Example if they took 2 yrs to approve, then they will minus 23-2=21. His age must be under 21
Hi Ramshaa May I know what is meant by updated I-864? Do we need to fill the form again?
From the first time you filled out the I-864 to when the interview is, it’s usually 2 years in which financial situations sometimes have changed (i.e. petitioners salary, etc). That is why they usually want to see an updated I-864 that is filled out as per most recent pay and taxes.
So if your financial information/status has changed within your case processing time then you can download the I864 form online, fill out with new info print it sign it scan it and then submit under additional/optional documents and name them as (example: 2022 I864) or whatever your date is.

Just a question, please let me know I have created another passport with guardian as my husband now previously I have uploaded it with my father's name as guardian now how should I update it in my CEAC ??
Hi Manahil I am not sure about your query but Its usually recommended to upload and update any new docs on CEAC once you have your DQ done and interview date with you. So that it cant interfere with any processing or delayed timeline. I would say post your question to NVC process help on facebook or ask any lawyer for better guidance.

Hi, thank you so much for your informative videos. I wanted to ask; will the interview be conducted in Urdu or English. Im a petitioner but I am worried for my wife, as she will get nervous speaking in english. She understands it but not comfortable speaking it.
She can conduct the interview in Urdu. The officer asks which language they want to conduct the interview, just say Urdu.

Is language preference matters in interview?
No, you can give in any language, that will not matter.
How we can upload updated documents before interview?
By going in the additional documents section in the CEAC/NVC Portal. But only do this once the interview letter has been issued. Submit the documents in their correct field section, i.e. petitioner financial documents should go in the petitioner section.

Islamabad embassy is at April 2021 DQ. Almost a year difference with your DQ. You can assume your timeline from this. Good Luck:)

Why did you file separately for children if your husband is a citizen then your children are automatically citizens you just need to file for CRBA application and get passports for both your children through us embassy or consulate.

That doesn't matter. Till your kids are 21 you can still apply for a passport and it is way easier. Just try it has no special charges other than that of passport fee which you have to pay at the consulate to get the passport. You should go for this it's a genuine advice to help you reach your husband quick

Zaroori nahi but jitna kuch share hota hai, it’s easier for the officer to approve your case. Aap ko poori chat share karna zaroori nahi, sirf ek doh pages, snippets from every month for last 6-8 months should be fine
