They were probably being bullied by their record company at the time to produce chart hits. This song would have sounded great in the Disney cartoon Mulan.
@@ewaf88 Yes. Phil has revealed that the record company was not happy with the direction after the Sun Goes Down. Lyrically, True Colours is quite dark and after Mark did his solo album Influences, the writing was dominated by Mark and Phil. I think it is still a good album with My Hero and Kouyate - the highlights. Then came Something about You and it all changed.
Ocean Front Sound One of my favorite Level 42 songs featuring Mike Lindup on lead vocals. The percussion makes this cool. Mark King on drums, his original instrument, makes this special. The energy spent on drumming this track for Mark is probably why it's not performed much. They would need another person.

@@Tramseskumbanan Still hard to hear :). The demo of Kouyate which has similarities to Dream Crazy has a tasy Mark slap line.
