@@smle7376 Nah, it's disgusting behavior to bring someone you don't know well enough to know whether they are a criminal to live with your kids. Parents should prioritize their responsibility to their kids over their desperation not to be single. This happens far too often, and actually we should judge it more harshly

It angers me to no end when women make up claims about being SA’d and harassed because they are in legal troubles with a man. It’s an insult and it makes it harder for real survivors to be heard and believed. Extremely trashy behavior. If he was doing that why didn’t they call the cops or leave ??!!

IN 2018? Where I live a mobile like that, more like 1,500.00 Not including utilities. A tiny bachelor suite 1,200.00 not including utilities. If you want a nice two bedroom try 2,500.00. A house? 4,500.00.

@@m42037Vancouver Canada. Right now $850.00 will get you a closet sized room only in a shared house. I was living in a one-bedroom basement suite for 20 years. I did not want to own a place. Paying $585.00 as of 2023, the same suite is regular 1,500.00 now plus utilities. The house sold, the new landlord tried to evict me a couple times so he could triple the rent, I won in court each time. I am a Veteran of the Special Forces, there are places with decent rents for Vets, so I applied first time he gave me notice. However, the wait list is about 10 years. The son just graduated high school and approached me begging me to leave so he could move in. (I heard he and the mother fighting like cats and dogs every day recently). Then the older brother who had left a year or so before approached me swearing it was not a ploy, his brother needed to get his own space. SO, I told him I would look around. 6 months I looked at everything as I described. There are people in BC and other parts of Canada who work full time, have good credit, but are homeless because rents are skyrocketing. So, I found a nice 2-bedroom Condo in a beautiful mountain town in northern BC, and bought it. Clean mountain air, a huge lake 6 minutes away, deer wandering right outside my balcony. Should have done it years ago. 😁

Being a landlord sounds like a nightmare. You make to sure someone pays on time & doesnt destroy your property. Getting a combo of both is a miracle

I was sexually assaulted by my upstairs neighbor. It took three years to leave. I was so caught up on not getting him in trouble and then covid hit. I never told my landlord the real reason why i moved in 2021.

@Rantsack um. I did do something. I have a police report and his brother who is his roommate came down to apologize then blamed it on his drug issue. So I knew where this was going. There will be no justice if his own family enables him. And the landlord and their family are related. It felt like being in between a rock and a hard place. Sorry you needed for context. Dont understand why sometimes she'll say "if you're there for one day in the month you owe for the whole month" or you owe a pro rated amount. But here he says they were there for 4 or 5 days and she just totally blows it off.

I wonder if it’s that she didn’t fully believe him on a couple of his claims, like when she had to question him saying, “Not to my knowledge.” The defendant so far seemed straightforward while the plaintiff danced around details, so the judge might have been letting a couple of days go due to his inconsistency.

Plaintiff said the property is 4 acres with two houses. He also said it is in town. No town big enough to be called a town that I have been in has rural acreages inside it. Maybe a locality, a hamlet, a village, a ghost town, but living breathing towns with at least one cop generally have 5 to 20 thousand people, a shopping district, schools, medical facilities, etc, and house blocks are typically ¼, ½, maybe up to an acre, but 4 and 5 acre blocks are usually outside of town.
It is plain that the sexual harassment was either made up, or exaggerations of innocent things, but I do not believe that a 4 acre block is so "in town" that plaintiff would get arrested for being clothing optional.

I use to own a beach house in a huge resort in Myrtle Beach. We were able to pay off the mortgage in a relatively short amount of time, pay all taxes and insurance and other expenses without money coming out of our pockets, the rental income was very good. We could've made a tidy sum off our property but we ended up selling and getting out of the rental game. People today are so entitled and unreasonable to deal with, it wasn't worth the hassle. The last straw was a couple of snowbirds from Canada who were absolutely filthy people and the wife was the epitome of the KAREN.

sexual harrassment is hardly about the aggressor finding their victim attractive. it is principally about power and i promise you that anyone you may find attractive or unattractive can and probably has been sexually harrassed.
