@@a_fellow_homesteader there are thousands of homesteads in Calif . Long before internet and solar generators people were living off the land building with salavaged material.it was harder in the 1970’s . First homestead I lived on we had springs, wood from old barns and military bases, passive solar showers , cook on big old wood burning stoves heat from wood and kerosene lamps. It wasn’t too cold or too hot. Now young people near me living in yurts, Afghani tents, straw-bale cabins , salvaged wood cabins , solar for everything. Land can be one large parcel where the owner rents space to do your own build or land that has stayed in families. My son watched this video with me and he was impressed with your build and surprised you have so many perfect rocks that seem to perfectly fit together. I told him they are all on the land and harvested where ponds are dug and each part of america has different rocks. I;m going to show him a pocket of pure clay I found in the crater where a giant pine fell over and exposed all this dirt not readily seen. He learned a lot from you. He is 22 and my grandson but I think of him as a son as his mother died. We also watched Brandon’s channel but I’ll comment there.
Takes some time and patience to get all the rocks to fit just right 😅 Oo I bet that is a pocket of real good clay! Thank you for sharing our videos with him! 💜 we hope to spread what we have learned for others to maybe gain ideas from. We appreciate your support so much! ✌🏾💜
It's looking so great! I also love the addition of the watermark? Channel name tag thing? Brain isn't braining, in the bottom of the video! AND THE LISA FRANK LIKE PICTURE! Love, love, love it all 🥰🖤 you guys are doing so great!
So happy for you! Getting this living area sealed up. You have worked so hard for so long to get this to to a living state. Youare have amazing patience. .
You guys always rock my party!!! 😂 I'll be using your ideas for a long time to come and now I have another way to use all my soup and beer tops😍✌️ I appreciate you always explaining in detail what your doing, it's very helpful to me and hope soon I can send some $ you guys way for more Portland or whatever. ❤❤❤

@@leedza we had some planning to do and we are a bit short on wood. Your expectations are right! Once the mud is done to a degree and we acquire needed material, the roof will cover the bales ✌🏾💜
Very interesting process. It's amazing seeing a house come together with mud and recycled items!
Yes! This build makes the commercial house building process more & more pathetic. Neka & Brandon's great grandparents would be so proud of them!
It is definitely an out of the box build! Layer by layer it is slowly coming together ✌🏾💜
Thank you! 😅 experience with commercial housing is why we build the way we do ✌🏾💜

Wow!🎉 wish yall some quality rest! ✌️
Soon! We are so close! ✌🏾💜
Back in the 70's the hippies used to talk about doing this stuff. Glad to see it actually pulling together. 👍
I grew up listening how folks wanted to do this kind of stuff, but none followed through! We love this kind of life, they are missing out ✌🏾💜
