Man that looks awesome. I go back and forth because my cable machine made of pulleys and metal will last forever. This on the other hand will free up space. but the longevity is unknown. What if the internet goes down and I can't get on the app. etc? What if the company goes out of business in 20 years. but its soo intriguing
WOW surprised to see this! I just messaged Mr. Gluck about this two days ago. I actually emailed Andreas to see if it had eccentric too suprised it did very compelling especially at the $500 intial offer.
@@kriskarl1333 you definitely need something to anchor them down. A rack, or something you stand on, etc. if you have that, you could use them similar to a cable crossover machine, even lying down, or on your bench.
Dang....so we won't be able to get this in our hands until end of the year, or early next year? If I can mount this on simple sliding wall mount and it has good longevity....I'd get in in a heart beat.
@@echtalion from my understanding you have to register to get that. And it might have gone up since the video already, as I think the closer we get, the higher the price
Can tbis do app controls for doing things like auto-drop sets? Like set it so it drops 5 lbs every 3 reps... So that you can grind out one giant set until you just can't do any more?
@@Snerdles not positive on the extent of the drop set, buy he did mention that the app has Drop Set functionality. So I would assume something similar to that
It’d be really neat to combine two of these with a Dialed Motion setup. You’d get a full functional trainer on your rack with 220 lb of resistance on each side and a lot more functionality than a traditional plate loaded or selectorized weight stack.
@@GrayMatterLifting faster to move the cable exit point up and down. It may be overkill, but I think there could be some value in combining these new types of resistance to a traditional machine. Like what if you had 2 or 3 cable machines in your garage but instead of needing to load them with plates or have a stack for each one, you could connect on of these to whichever machine you were using. Get the optimal bio-mechanics of a machine with a quickly movable, smart resistance source.
@@fwiffo42 totally with you on the machine. I'm not seeing a huge win with the Dialed Motion though. You'd be connecting a pully system to a pully system, which seems redundant. I could get behind if the Dialed Motion was a dedicated Low Row or something, but I believe these swivel, can mount on basically anything, so you should be able to with a quick adjustment drop it anywhere on the rack.
Stoked about this...looks to be the only thing other than Voltra that checks the boxes and at a WAY better price than the Voltra.
@@cweb1988 👍 agreed
Much cheaper than a Voltra!
@@leftyrighty6059 yep! Should be interesting

@@rodolfomedini9931 yeah man, I've had half a dozen people message me about it before this chat. Glad I was able to connect with him
How would you incorporate two of these for bench exercises? All I have now is a bench and a pair of powerblock dumbbells, and a pull-up bar.

most likely, yeah. We'll have some more details during their AMA next week on production timelines
I wanna see more of this. If I can put it on my rack and it works well I’ll get one for sure at this price.

I think they said the KS price would be $500, but the link has it as $599, from the RRP of $850.

Why are you thinking you'd need the dialed motion? Isn't that just an extra piece?

Nope! Great question to ask during their AMA though.
