- It's that time of year where everyone gets to pick their new school backpacks, everyone had a difficult time choosing what backpack they wanted. The kids are so excited for school to start in a few weeks! Back to school!
My daughter used her same backpack all six years of college, and I’m still using it 35 years later! Jansport!!
Yeah I’m from a fortunate family but as a principle unless we needed a new backpack/school bag our parents would not get us one, we would have to buy it ourselves and put one of our old ones in a charity shop. Obviously it’s just whatever suits each family !! xxx
i usually get another one each year but I didn't really go to school this year so I'm gonna use the same one
I still have my Jansport from high school and I started 9th grade in 1996!

Just love how you included Addison with all of the choices. You could give the "extras" to the place that helps Foster Care Placement Children. They are always looking for backpacks.
They probably gonna keep some considering they opened their house again so they might get more kids during the school year that would need them
They usually do such actions. But as they opened their foster/adoption license again, they probably keep some. But Shelly said also something about returning stuff.

Just an idea: you could make some permanent 'names in a hat' system, such as a cup full of Popsicle sticks with the names in permanent marker. We've used that in our classroom for years and it makes it easy to choose a random child without any prep-work.

Loveeeeee the way you did a fun contest for such a simple thing (picking a backpack). I was excited to see the kid' picks and to know who won the contest!!
Loved this video. Seeing what backpacks the kids picked and both the parents reactions was priceless..... I think I can tell why Shelly has trouble throwing.... Her demonstration of throwing was a dead give away. She was talking about throwing and she moved her "hand only" forward as she said she couldn't throw through the doorway. When throwing you have to move your whole arm as well as your hand towards the target....Practice makes perfect ...You can do it!
I love how you guys put time into what you do with the kids! And also thank you for being so honest about quarantine and how she’ll be allowed out tomorrow Etc you didn’t have to tell us that you could’ve said that she was clear and she’s finished quarantine so I hope you don’t get any backlash of any kind for it , you did what we would have done under such Circumstances and the child’s age!

I love how Aubrey was keeping Addison updated and showing her everyone’s back packs my siblings would of hung up on me, the such a good family😊 such a great foster family

I’m so nervous to go to my new middle school for 7th grade. All my friends are in a different pod ( a group ) and I’m with all the other kids from another school. I’ve been so anxious and scared. I’ve been at my old school for 5 years. Any suggestions?
So many good choices!! I think my favorites are the striped one that Addison got, Brinleys pink one, and Kasons space one. I'd use any of them! Also the multi colored Adidas and the one with stars all over it were really cute. And the red one with hearts all over! And the very cutesy one with the rainbow and everything.
Guess it's a good think I'm not having to pick a backpack, since I would not be able to make a decision! What did surprise me a little though was that none of the kids seemed to look at the layout of the backpack. When I got school backpacks I usually wanted as many different pockets as possible, and I knew what kind of pockets I needed.
You may want to hang on to a couple in case someone loses theirs or it wears out! Fun video!!! I’m SO happy for Jacob…it is tough going last!

You should donate some of the ones that didn’t get picked to kids that can’t afford it
Was thinking the exact same thing. They could fill with the left over supplies and donate. We have a backpack drive in my area for kids whom’s families can’t get them. I also work in the school dist and ever year we have over 3500 kids whom are considered homeless (living in motels, cars, etc) it absolutely breaks my heart.
Instead of returning the ones people didnt choose you should take them to the place crazy pieces donated all those shoes to.
Braxton is me when I’m trying to make a choice and I have so many options 😂😂

What happen to last year's backpacks? My kids when in school used the same backpacks for at least two years. This was fun.
My daughter used the same backpack for years & it's still in good condition (she's now 22) my middle child (21) had one every few years but my 12yr old goes through about 3 EVERY YEAR!! XX
@@princess1king2 I remember when the kids got older we bought better more experience backpacks so they used them for a few years. Even going over to stay all night at someone's house and traveling.

Just love how helpful and kind and sweet Jacob is. He helped with setting up and cleaning up and he helped with Addison on the phone.

This back to school video is by far my favorite one I’ve seen this year ! What an amazing idea to let the kids shop for their backpacks. They are so grateful for the bags, and not wanting that pricy on brand bag. Like nobody chose the Jordan one, until the last one. Lucky Jacob. It must be very stressful seeing the bag he wanted, and had to wait till last.

Jansport is the best! I have black one with leather bottom I bought in 1992 for college after I got out of the military and now use it as my carry-on when I travel, I will not fly without it. My lucky pack. Lol
@@Soy_niah get one with a leather bottom, they all are good, but the leather I believe reinforces it since all the weight goes to the bottom.

At my work we have to test every 2 weeks. But if we get it, we don’t test for 90 days afterwards because it’s very common to have a false positive during that time.
It was really fun to play along with Shelly and Jared with my own guesses -- I managed to get a few points too lol!
You can test positive for up to 90 days or more for some folks… that’s why re-testing isn’t recommended anymore after active infection 🥰

I actually have the same backpack as Addison
I used the same backpack for two years and then got a new because they got worn out. Sometimes people taste change as they grow and they don't want the old one any more and that is ok also.

My grand boys all had LLBean backpacks all the way through high school and 2 of them through college!!!
You only have to isolate 5 days now and if Addison has been fever free for over 24 hrs and isn't showing any symptoms she should be fine...

You gave them such a great variety! I lucked out and my daughter wanted to use the Mickey Mouse backpack we got from Disney World 6 years ago! One of those if you spend so much you get to buy it! This is the second time she’s used it! I think she used it is 4th grade and now 7th! I had gotten a cool Trans by Jansport tye dye one from goodwill for $4.99 in really good shape I thought she would like it but nope!
It's fine you should do that every year I think the kids really enjoyed it.
That is good for you two to guess what you think the kids will pick. Sometimes you never know what they may change and like differently.
