"In the Adbhuta Ramayana, there is a version of the original line [sic.] which says, yada yada hi dharmasya glanir bhavati suvrata, abhyutanamadharmasya, tadaprakruti sambhava. When adharma rises, or dharma is in decline, the sacred feminine will incarnate. This is at least a thousand years old, perhaps more, and it says that the sacred feminine will defend dharma and she will protect us. This should be celebrated." From an interview of the author

I don't understand why Having a sword in hand and fighting only is considered a symbol of strength. In the TV soap she's shown having soft power. For her such a big battle was conducted between two super powerful kings. Being a princess she spent her life like a Sanyasi and she asked ram to forgive everyone for accusing her. She has Grace and elegance . According to me no warrior can be stronger than her .

This is a fiction and not a depiction/modern adaptation of original source.
In the name of fiction authors take somuch of freedom, general readers take them seriously particularly when it comes to rituals and other culture related stuff.
The rituals for men and women aren't same. Infact they are far less compared to men. Men are supposed to lot of rituals on daily basis and women due to lot of responsibilities are given much liberty. Providing logistical support is the only thing expected from them.
Actually most of the rituals to be done by men should be executed as per the timings and general comfort of women.
In practice over 100s of years people(read men) made them obsolete and rigid which have become headacheto women.

For those who are criticizing the book saying that it's a twisted version of the original epic: the thing is, it's a retelling so take it as one. Writing a retelling allows you to expand your imagination as much as you wish to, especially if it's based on a culture and Hinduism stems from a culture that was established long back in the subcontinent(not trying to give a history lesson). The thing is, give him flexibility. Don't judge the book simply because it is supposedly "ruining the cultural sentiments" because it isn't. There have been many retellings of Ramayana, some entirely different from the one we have grown up with. Amish's book is a modern retelling and he accepts that. There is nothing wrong with it. Peace!

So, making blasphemy against our Gods is retelling to you? Portraying gods as human is acceptable to you? Why should anyone give him flexibility of writing SHIT? Even Muslims degrade Hinduism , should we accept that?

    • @mloveshertea

Sage Savage I won't start a debate here or argue about different approaches to a certain aspect of a culture. Let it suffice that people have different choices and ways of viewing things. As long as Amish isn't insulting the culture, let him have his way. Peace! 🙏

    • @gaurangkukrety8850
      @gaurangkukrety8850 6 ปีที่แล้ว

Rmacharitmanas is only the original epic which is written by great devotee tulsidas who have actually seen ram and sita and this book is only the creativity, imagination and nothing else. How can we compare devotee tulsidas shlokas to the writing of today's writer. Please do understand that everything is not creativity because people who don't know about Ramayana are getting false story. If we have to read and know philosophy we have to read ramcharitmanas . I hope you will understand people's sentiment who pray goddess sita and lord ram daily and they can teach all of you about goddess sita.

But I haven’t heard of any wars she’s been to. Valmiki Ramayana always portrayed her to be very powerful. At the age of 6, she picks up the Siva Dhanussu with one hand to get her ball.

Where according to advut ramayan brihad parba seeta was the daughter of madodari ,and ravan who was born after mandodari drunk the enchanted kheer of devi lakshmi unknown to ravan. So she dug the child in mithila where janak found seeta.
The sadhus said that in the shape of crop lakshmi comes from ground , as janak worshiped devi lakshmi she came to him from ground as daughter
And far before that ravan wished devi lakshmi to take birth in lanka but his step brother kuber take the promise of devi lakshmi that she will not stay in lanka

So I’m here just to request you to write book on Radha her life, her love for Krishna and everything i really want to know and read it just like your other great stories.

You have brought light to our Gods and showed that they were mere humans who by their works and destiny became Gods. And I also love how you portray the female characters in the story so strong not just mentally and emotionally but physically as well. Your works are amazing. We thing we know everything about Ramayana but we don't. and there are many people saying why are they using Mahabharata sloka. They need to listen clearly it's not. It is about Sakti.

So draging a real personality into fiction make a real sense & sense is just pollute indian history to the level that indian generations start considering them a cartoon or fiction character.

you all people always admire English people..... tell me one thing..... who told you Mahabharata, Ramayana etc are fictions????.... English people..... they don't even know about history of them.... wo saale tum logo ko kya bateyenge.... America ki kabhi history study Karna..... Americans are not native Americans.... saalo ne saare native red Indians ko Mar dala aur island par kabja kar Lita aur haramkhor dusro ki history ko fiction batate hai..... angrejo ki tati chatna band karke kabhi aapni history study Karna.... hamre culture ke aas pass bhi nahi hai ye.... aur aapne aap ko professional batate hai...... bhai pehle khud aapni aankho se truth ko discover Karo uske baad likhna sab viction hai.... jisne ye sita, Siva, etc books likhi hai na sabh Mann gharant likh rakha hai..... he has no idea what he is writing...... is liye pehle khud study Karo....uske baad kujh result par aana.... Guru granth sahib ki study Karo tumhe reality pata chal jaayegi....

Religious stories ,all puranas are sources through which we become close to that nirgun parabhram . Stories are retold in all yugas so that people understand the message it conveys. It is also mentioned in bhagavat geeta that nothing is fixed there are many prospective of looking into one story so please keep an open mind and open heart and let everyone tell their prospective of the story.

people are saying that the background score which is is a sloka is from Bhagavad Gita but actually it is from adhbuta Ramayana which means. "o keeper of righteous valves remember this whenever Dharma is in decline or there is an upsurge of adharma the sacred feminine will incarnate"

"Destined to be Goddess". Kuch bhi. That's the problem with our generation. We think just because we are good in english. We can speculate anything. Sita is goddess. She is above destiny. People with the contaminated consciousness, are dangerous.
A Doctor is needed to prescribe medicine not a road side baba. Similarly a saint can speak about Sita not a author who has never tasted devotion.

Ma'am I totally disagree with your point . Religious stories ,all puranas are sources through which we become close to that nirgun parabhram . Stories are retold in all yugas so that people understand the message it conveys. It is also mentioned in bhagavat geeta that nothing is fixed there are many prospective of looking into one story so please keep an open mind and open heart and let everyone tell their story. This is my opinion and I don't intend to offend you .
