@@casualwater698 Detroit has so much great bones in its buildings. I really hope it can pull off the revitalization that has been happening for the last few years. Cleveland has a lot of old pretty houses and theaters as well… But, cleveland..
Saw Bobby & The Midnites at the Capitol Nov 1, 1980 (the day after the Dead @ Radio City on Halloween). Tim Bogert on bass. Mathew Kelly on harp, etc. Awesome show. Jack Cassidy and his punk band, SVT, to open. This sheltered midwestern boy had never seen an east coast crowd be as rude as they were to poor Jack before...
Little Feat DID NOT cover this song! Weir is covering a Little Feat song. Lowell George wrote and sang this song on the 2nd Little Feat album, Sailin' Shoes, in 1972. I also love Little Feat's version of this song, their song.
@@tommyknocker3539 I love Little Feat and went to listen to the Sailin Shoes version again. It's good, but the way it's produced sorta smooths the nuance out. Makes it more pop. Would love to find a live version.
I know why he covered it. it's a Top 25 Song of All-Time, written by a master. This cover is an abomination. I saw it live and almost walked out. BTW, I love covers and covers that an artist makes one's own are some of my favorites songs. You know the ones. That being said, BW rocks. A belated HBD is order I believe.
Was in the 1st row for this one
Can't get enough of this one. Saw Bobby in Detroit in 2023 @ The Fillmore. If you haven't heard the second set, you must.
I’ve heard that theater is really beautiful.
@@DingleMcGilacutty It is. So is the Fox right next door.

I love that Ibanez Artist. Saw one in a pawn shop a few years ago, should have jumped on it.

Jerry's 42nd birthday!
Little Feat
And let your memory drift
Lowell
At exactly 1:17 Billy yawns. Yup he is definitely yawning
The music is way too simple and monotonous for him XD.
I legit thought that was Dana Carvey in the still pic.
Do they even exist at all?
Some of the best Dead related shows were played in Passaic...
This line blew my mind out of my ass on 300ug LSD
😊
SWEET LOVED THE LITTLE FEET COVER OF THIS

Dan McLaughlin Sorry... maybe you were just being ironic. yuk yuk yuk.....

Sweet. But prefer the energy of the Little Feat version. Wish it was the 7 minute version. Thanks though.
Who is that gtr player?
Bobby Cochran (Eddie Cochran's nephew)
Who's Bob's wingman? He's fire! I thought I saw him backing Dead & Company as well.
Bobby Cochran. Nephew (I think) of Eddie Cochran (Summertime Blues), teen sensation in the 50s
@@jeffjackson3797 Yep, he's Eddie's nephew!!
Bobby Cochran is the Bobby in the Bobby and Midnites
Sounded better in 83
Doesn’t touch the LF version.
