For me, no crop jeans (why cut off your legs, making them appear shorter?), no barrel jeans (only look good on rodeo clowns), and def no Birkenstocks- Fred Flintstone feet!
I'm past caring if others recognise what I'm wearing. Especially trainers. Wide cuff jeans Nooooooo. I also remember the Gloria Vanderbilt rhinestone jeans of the late 80's - didn't suit me then either
Totally agree, I do own a couple of mesh tops that I wear over a cami in summer but not really revealing, we don’t need to be a slave to fashion trends, we’ve learnt that over the years I hope😂
Some channels I watch say that although "chunky" sneakers are still considered fashionable in 2025, the trend is shifting towards slimmer, lower-profile sneaker silhouettes, with brands like Adidas Sambas. Because I walk a lot at work, I recently tried a pair of Hokas (Vionics are also very good!). Hokas are clunky but the support is the best I have ever tried.
Great video! I laughed at your point about mesh shoes!! I was thinking exact same things, and I’m sure we are not alone! Burkies are the best! There are many styles, and they take care of the feet, which is important after age 50! The wide cuffs are a big no for me, and don’t look good unless you are tall and thin!
Hoff trainers, I have two pairs. Really good. Walked miles round Barcelona in my first pair. Got them in soft pastel, like neopolitan ice cream, and brash bright vibrant pink's & purple.
Well, I will pass on most of those, so then in a couple years I won’t be out of style! I like fashion but live a very casual lifestyle and am mid-60s so fringes, barrel jeans, soft colours are just not for me. Thanks for a fun to watch video. Your humour is very enjoyable.
I wish people would be as honest as to who can look good in skinny jeans (which are totally passe) as you were about cuffed jeans. Unless you’re tall and slim, skinny jeans make you look like a sausage. BUT, sometimes we like to wear what’s “in” and not constantly trying to look tall/slim. THAT is self cancelling.
I think the Hoff trainer sole, looks like dirt when you look at it. Not attractive to me. But I agree totally with you when it comes to the wide cuff jeans, not for me either.
That pink puffy sleeve shirt should be illegal forever!!!! 😂❤
I didn't buy balloon skirts the first time they were a trend, and definitely won't now. There's a lot to be said for classics.
I love your content Annemarie! ❤
Love your videos ☺️👍 Bev

Hurrah for Birkenstocks! They and Alegria shoes are the only comfortable shoes for my feet over a long period of time.❤
I agree with everything! Great advice, as always, thanks 😊.

Oh gosh yes. I remember those too.
Love your videos, and you're so spot on with fashion for our age. Thank you.
I’m glad I tend to avoid trends! Stick to classics and add a twist is my mantra. And never, ever, ever Birkenstocks 😂
I totally agree 😊
I found a stylist across the pond that's my sister. We are short and the same age. Yea😂
Great advice. Totally agree.

I hate those jeans with the huge cuffs!

Interesting about Hokas. I’ve heard elsewhere that Sambas are out . Theres such a lot of inconsistency.
I love the colour of that jumper on you. Its the colour I've been looking for, not too wishy washy.
It’s hard to find. I put a few options in the description area.

Balloon skirts not again 🙄
I also have HOFF trainers. Love them,
Mesh shoes- surely just a mass of blisters. I need wide toe areas- I love birkies including their sneakers. Chunky sneakers are out for 2025.

We self drape 😊
