I used these to help me find side palettes connecting to an overall home palette for our new build. And being a book lover, I love the feel and look of them too. There are so many potential applications.
Of course anyone could make them based off their favourite photos, the combinations could be endless! That said, I love not having to stress and do it on a computer. Also I love using them side by side!
Great review thank you so much from Australia. I only ordered the two cubes because I am also tactile and I thought the digital version might be confusing. It’s more user friendly than I expected and I wish I watched this before ordering. I might add digital version at some point. New sub, looking forward to watching some more of your videos 🇦🇺🐨💙🎨
Hi. Good luck with your channel. I'm not an artist. I only do paper crafting, mostly greeting cards. But I was intrigued by the artwork in your video background. I have just ordered your coloring book from Amazon UK. I recently purchased the color catalog/cubes myself and I love them. I think your review will help others. 😊
Thank you for your comment and for purchasing a colouring book! Has it arrived yet? Have you enjoyed colouring it? The art work in the background is my original work based on symbolism in a birth chart. I will make some videos about how to make art based on unique astrological indicators in the future.
@@chishasart Hi! I love the coloring book. So far I have only colored one page and I plan to mount it my hallway. Haven't done that yet because I am debating whether to add paint splatters in the background. I don't have a lot of wall space so, I have to replace an existing picture, but that is totally OK because I am ready to show this one off. I plan to do another soon in lilacs and pink to match my bathroom. 😊 I've got notifications on for you. Looking forward to seeing what you do next.
Hi, I have had a very chop and change kind of year. I am now back and set up with all my paints and things. Hello from France! Absolutely, I am about to start another set of videos as my students always want something explained, and a video can be the best way to explain something.... Sorry for the big lag in response... Life got in the way.
I bought these a few months ago and have yet to use them. I guess I'm puzzled on how to apply a color scheme in my painting. For example, if I'm painting from a reference photo, my brain wants me to paint the colors I see in the photo. I don't know if I have the ability to paint the same scene with a selected color palette from the collection. Any advice?
So sorry for the mega lag in response! YES! there is a pretty straight forward way to make that a problem of the past. Open your image in a photo editing software (I prefer photoshop) and change the overall colour theme there. Remember to save a copy of the original so that you don't destroy it. This can be a great way to test out different colour schemes prior to actually mixing or applying paint.
I love my Color Cubes both for working with them or just LOOKING at them! Purchase was effortless and shipping was prompt. Very happy with these.

@@chishasart thanks I'll try that!
I was curious, unsure on whether getting it is worth it or not. This is helpful. Thank you so much for sharing this video. 🫒✨🪷💞🙏
