I did see the companions in the set I picked up and I think that is an amazing place to start if you are unsure of color matching. The only downfall is if you don't have the full set. That and I just enjoy the process of trying to figure it out. sometimes the colors even change a bit depending on the paper you are using. It is like a little puzzle to solve.
I loved your review ^_^ I've had my color cube for a couple weeks now, and it's already changed my coloring game. Choosing colors is so quick and easy now, and I've been finishing so many more pages! I just found your channel recently, by the way, so hello!
Is there a way you can match up the hex number with prismas or polychromos? I thought maybe there was a tool online somewhere you can put in the hex for a color and it will tell you which pencil to choose, etc.😊
I have an app on my phone called Arty that has those features when I'm stuck with color matching. If you search "Colored Pencil Picker" in the app store you may get several that do the same.
Honestly you can’t go wrong with either, they are very close in options. If you’re debating I would start with volume/cube 1 and try it out. If you end up really liking it you can get the second one. The additional pdf of the color options really helps you in selecting what you may want.
It is the difference between how my monitor shows the color and how the camera is picking it up in my filming set up. Depending on how your computer or phone screen in calibrated to show color they are pretty similar.
@@AprilSarah Okay, thank you for clarifying that, because now I really think I will buy the PDF version (I live in Norway, so shipping and taxes will be to high😅) Loved your review BTW🥰
Using someone else’s choices of paint chips for your color schemes when you can’t be bothered to learn color theory is nothing new. This is just a catchier (and, ultimately, a more limiting) marketing tool.
Wonderful work, Sarah also has the color catalogue companion that tells you the color’s for a lot of brands, worth a look

I’m so tempted but I just can’t justify $100. The items are wonderful.

I think I'd get overwhelmed having two cubes. Would you recommend one or the other if someone was going to just buy one?

@@AprilSarah Awesome!! Thank you!!
🔵😍
What paper did you print your hex charts on to?
I use 110 lb/199 gsm, 94 Brightness cardstock.
The colours seemed very different on the PDF and the actual card, or is it the camera that isn't picking it up properly??

Not as useful as they seemed it to be
