U.Go pochade box review the good and the bad
My unbiased review on the U-Go Plein air easel by New Wave Art will show you the good and bad aspects from my experience painting for one full month with the compact pochade box. As well as work around ideas.

(This is not a paid-for review in any way)
I tried to buy from New Wave but it got lost in shipping from the US, so I found that Jackson Art Supplies, where I also bought the Sienna Plein air wet panel carrier. This carrier accommodates up to 4 23x30cm ( 12x9in ) panels.
Links:
The New Wave website where you can buy the pochade box direct from the manufacturer if you live in the USA: newwaveart.com/collections/u-go-plein-air-anywhere-pochade-boxes
To buy U.Go in Europe I recommend buying from Jackson's here: www.jacksonsart.com/fr-fr/new-wave-u-go-plein-air-anywhere-pochade-box-6x8in
Where you can also buy the panel carrier here: www.jacksonsart.com/fr-fr/richeson-wet-panel-box-for-8x10in-apx-20x25cm-and-9x12in-apx-23x30cm-panels
Also I highly recommend you source an affordable tripod that is compatible with the U.Go. I bought mine here: www.amazon.fr/dp/B0BBQ5F2L8?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
But if you're located outside of France, be sure to search for a tripod with a 1/4in screw.
My name is Chisha and I'm a travelling painter. Usually I stay in studio but with my recent artistic residency in the south of France I've really wanted to get out and paint some of those gorgeous sloping hills! I've seen many homemade varieties of pleinair boxes but I've never been too good with wood working so I invested in this little treasure. All together with all add ons I paid €330.

How to choose colour for artists and designers

Today I am reviewing and comparing three systems in order of most expensive to least expensive that artists and designers can use to choose colour harmonies. These systems are: Color cubes, Palette Perfect and free paint samples from your local hardware store. In this video I explain how best to use the free paint samples in your creative work flow. Great review thank you so much from Australia. I only ordered the two cubes because I am also tactile and I thought the digital version might be confusing. It’s more user friendly than I expected and I wish I watched this before ordering. I might add digital version at some point. New sub, looking forward to watching some more of your videos 🇦🇺🐨💙🎨

Thanks for your video. I got this to paint with watercolor on the go. With watercolor I don't use a palette knife, so that isn't an issue. And for the cups, I use a faber-castell collapsible water cup and it works perfectly. 2 actually fit in 1 side tray. I got 2 of the side trays, which help will the extra space for the cups and other materials. Hope this helps watercolorists.

I bought these a few months ago and have yet to use them. I guess I'm puzzled on how to apply a color scheme in my painting. For example, if I'm painting from a reference photo, my brain wants me to paint the colors I see in the photo. I don't know if I have the ability to paint the same scene with a selected color palette from the collection. Any advice?

So sorry for the mega lag in response! YES! there is a pretty straight forward way to make that a problem of the past. Open your image in a photo editing software (I prefer photoshop) and change the overall colour theme there. Remember to save a copy of the original so that you don't destroy it. This can be a great way to test out different colour schemes prior to actually mixing or applying paint.

Hi. Good luck with your channel. I'm not an artist. I only do paper crafting, mostly greeting cards. But I was intrigued by the artwork in your video background. I have just ordered your coloring book from Amazon UK. I recently purchased the color catalog/cubes myself and I love them. I think your review will help others. 😊

Thank you for your comment and for purchasing a colouring book! Has it arrived yet? Have you enjoyed colouring it? The art work in the background is my original work based on symbolism in a birth chart. I will make some videos about how to make art based on unique astrological indicators in the future.

@@chishasart Hi! I love the coloring book. So far I have only colored one page and I plan to mount it my hallway. Haven't done that yet because I am debating whether to add paint splatters in the background. I don't have a lot of wall space so, I have to replace an existing picture, but that is totally OK because I am ready to show this one off. I plan to do another soon in lilacs and pink to match my bathroom. 😊 I've got notifications on for you. Looking forward to seeing what you do next.
