pengyu I do raw runs a lot (raw runs are mostly bombing hills at about 40 or 50 mph) and its all about trusting yourself and not taking too much time thinking about it and wear neon or just something bright and your fine usually vehicles stop or go around you if you can’t turn out of the way fast enough
i hate when people just slow walk and wont let you pass them . its not like a board doesnt produce any sound or shit, but when a bike comes they move to the side.

@@KandiKlover Literal wrong advice you want your trucks as tight as possible when bombing. They will feel normal at high speeds and give you stability. Some hills I don't even have to carve at all if I don't want to because I keep my shit tighter than a teenage nun
speed rings and spacers to tighten your nut down but not enough to crush the bearings. Slop in your wheels can contribute to speed wobbles. After that its mostly rider error. Keep your weight over your front truck and try not to over react to bumps and rocks. It's a mind fuck to focus on not eating shit but awesome to get to the bottom. Thats what I do to avoid wobbles on my board. I had to focus more when I put on some cruiser wheels on my skateboard. They go much faster than my normal 54mm 103a wheels that I skate when I popped on the 60mm 78a wheels I got a while back.
I found a cruiser in good condition sitting on a ditch back in 2012 that had bone swiss bearings in it on my way to school. I decided to take it and save some walking riding the downhill sidewalk on the last leg of the trip instead of walking it. That was really scary.

WOBBLES THE WHOLE WAAAAY BUDDY! Passing my friend on a Hollowtech Sidewalker down a hill was a terrifying experience. I didn't learn my lesson and did it again the first day I rode this summer.

I've nearly stepped off it's short nose a lot. You really have to use every inch of the deck to get the most out of it. But that's what makes it fun!

That's such a rush dude fractured my shoulder skating down oceanside SD next to the power plant of the highway on a penny, those speed wobbles are knarly but once you got it you got it riding a cruiser board now MUCH more room haha 👌

As you watch this, don't forget that Alex Hannigan is a professional. He makes it look easy, but if you tried this you would likely die. Even he got sketched out several times on this run.
Honestly it looks like Alex did as much due diligence as possible to make sure there wasn't any pedestrians or cars, and hearing him screaming makes me laugh every time. I feel like skaters get a (somewhat deserved) rep for being a public nuisance but literally every time I go for a cruise someone tries to turn me into a hood ornament, and pedestrians either can't hear me coming or are on their phone. Be safe, be kind, know how to stop fast, and have fun.
