Good day Tankenstein, Unfortunately the Nanchang Q-5 is a rather sad aircraft especially since the bombs were nerfed to updates back as the Q-5A used to do 80% to a point & the Q-5L could knock out a point fully but now only the A-5C can. Now the Q-5 early isn't all bad as hey it's the MiG-19 with a bomb bay hah hah (ntm less drag). The Q-5L on the other handis a sad state as screw us it's essentially a successor model to the A-5C yet gets no CM nor AAM's when there's documentation saying it has both yet the devs won't pull the finger outta their arses. (there's a theory they won't add them as it's result in lose of sales for the A-5C somehow) Not to mention the other Q-5's could get AAM's as well but but like the L the devs don't care. I will say as an advert player the Q-5's make for good anti armour attacking in ARB since the bombs do jack to airbases & the cockpit crossair when using the targeting computer is incredibly effective be it CCIP or CCRP, So almost always in the Q-5 early & Q-5A I'm in the cockpit for targeting AI's heh. You're right these things will decimated Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II's & they're powerful in vertical manoeuvres which is one of its many boons.
The Q-5L is the only Q-5 to have basing capability. The Q-5 A does a little more than half with maximum loadout, the A5C with 4x 750lbs and either rockets does 75% base damage, the Q5L has to loadout variants that can wipe bases: -6x 250kg, 2x 500kg para (it has more filler for some reason) -6x 250kg, 2x 500kg no para, 2x either rocket pod
This thing just out runs everything it BR 9.0 except for maybe the F-104A but honestly things like the saber have no chance on catching this thing if the person is just doing the boom and zoom method cause what else at 9.0 can hit mach 1 and over???? Not much hell the f-86 can barely climb to 2 or 3k meters before this thing can get to the enemy LZ....
I thinks anything above 9.3 should have flare, they are missile the you can't avoided and If you don't have flare it done deal. gajing need to fix this
The q5 is fun until you have to use the guns they genuinely suck, 9.0 is a perfect br for it but you never see it for obvious reasons IF THEY MOVE IT UP IMMA BE PIZZED it’s my 9.0 ground lineup they just keep ruining my favorite nations witch are the minor nations Japan, China and Italy

Hell ya same exact Premium Line up I have for China as well but I threw in the Z-11WA and Gazelle in there with its dinky little reach atgms of 3km

Gajin ruined these planes imo, the should have missiles as they do irl and iirc they have 8 hard points not 4 like we see in the game.
