U can take 2× 250kg bombs, and 6× 100 kgs bombs(4 are in the bomb bay) 250kg are too big for the bomb bay and u never could carry them in the bomb bay in any IL series planes so idk why u say it's sad.
@@ajgurney5811 bro if you dive you need at least 700-900m of clearance to pull up. In air RB the armour might work, but in CAS it’s dangerous diving down
'Pard 40/70 also got bumped up to 5.3 for AB and 5.7 I assume for RB. At least it can still be used with M18s, but it seems the fully armoured Italian tanks are unchanged. It'll make the more balanced vehicles more challenging to play while discouraging use of the 'glass cannons' so I can see why they thought it was a logical idea

Comparing the IL-10 (1946) to the IL-8 The IL-10 is lighter, faster, turn and holds its speed better, although it has worse guns, it has 4 of them, it has a 20mm at the gunner and it has rockets Tbh, all that extra "armour" doesnt mean shit, you'll still die to the first lonely, stray .50 bmg incendiary tracer round, either by your pilot being one tapped or the whole ass tail falling off, the armour is just useless Both IL-10s are still a better option if you want a strike fighter, and the 500kg bombs dont mean shit when the TU-2s are right there just .3 br above it
If this thing has combat flaps they are probably unbreakable and would increase the turning time in combat dramatically. Have to use them in a way that doesn't kill energy though
Honestly hate this plane. I tried flying it for 10 matches last night when I unlocked The test drive and it handles like a goddamn skyboat. Sure it has really decent armor, but the primary issue is the fact that if you lose your speed it's all over and there's no real way to gain speed back as it's low speed maneuverability it is horrible. For a strike aircraft it's very disappointing. It can't even take out a base by itself. Honestly the best thing to do with it is to try to get in as many head-on conflicts as possible because you do actually outgun most opponents to a very fair degree.

I honestly would go KV-1E, T-34E STZ, KV-1S, SU-152, IL-8 (replacing KV-2). It would certainly go there well (however, I suck at CAS....)
It’s a fat bus and only has two 500kg’s. The extra armour is not worth it
I've been flying it a shit ton of is far from a bus and the armor my god it takes more of a beating than my IL2

Those AA guns were boosted, I bet, to discourage strike aircraft from attacking bases. Those targets are meant for bombers.
