I would have never guessed the wheat crop would be this spectacular this year considering it was in drought conditions the entire time it was forming and filling out heads.
like your channel love all the old school olivers my grandpa had olivers used them until the day he died oliver 7300 is cool we had a 525 we combined with that brought back good memories Jared Rader new athens,il
We just got done today it done rather well for the dry year avg 78.6 bu test weight was 60 , average 13. 8 on moisture very pleased. We do the same thing on fertilizer as you do if it isn't broken don't mess with it . There were bailing straw right behind me uncle runs the tractor the 4h and ffa kids help bail I give them straw for there animals and there shows its a big help with the labor we feed them and I give them all 25 $ cash . Two days over a thousand bails of straw two bailers running and all put in the dry , I was worried because my neighbor drilled my wheat but I was combining his beans last fall good neighbors . Looks like your doing well also great news. From turkey creek farms be safe n thankful
Great videos and great angles shot. That Old Oliver was walking the dog!!! Ethan say a Big Hello to your dad, mom and wife from us down here in Arkansas okay 👌
awesome wheat Ethan. I helped my BIL cut wheat south of KC. HIs was short and the heads not very big, I didnt know any difference since I have never helped that task before. Now that I helped him and see what yours looks like I have a reference point, yours looks really good. The old 7300 sure does a nice job.
Good to see your had a succesful wheat crop running your 7300 which does bring back fond memeories of the first wheat crop we had set our 8600 into 1977. Your truck 1st load a tad over loaded Ethan,..guess near 9 tns? regards Bill.
Nice to see you getting a good start on wheat. This time of year can be a challenge. While we need rain for corn, beans, and hay, a couple dry breezy days make wheat harvest easier. Your numbers look good so far!!!
Nothing like cutting wheat. Before college i wanted to go west and do the custom harvest run. But life got in the way. Cool video and glad the wheat was good given crazy weather
Great stuff OFB, I agree the old machines do a really nice job, but you need a great deal of credit also as an operator. Ya gotta know how to dial it in, and that reflects on you👍🏻like the Jerry Clower/Darrell Waltrip boogety, boogety quote🤣stay safe young man🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸
Glad to hear you're doing good with your wheat. I know we need the rain for the crops, but this week is the power show in winamac Indiana. I have been taking garden tractor exhibits for the past few years and I don't want it to rain. Looking at the radar, I believe it is going to rain every day this year.
Yeah, no you’re very good at what you do and you do a great job with your equipment. Somebody taught you well that would’ve been your dad. You should get him on the videos at some point he deserves a credit.
Are wheat here in south central was very poor. The combine looks like it done a good job of cleaning. Are you going to make small squares or big round bales? What state is your farm in?
Around here their is 140 bu wheat they put all the bells and whistles at it i live in Illinois but not in the black land and i think it was under a pivot
Is 80 bushels wheat a high yield in your area. I calculated it to be just short of 5,5 ton/hectare in metric. I my area of Denmark a normal yields in wheat is 8 t/ha and a good is 10t/ha. (120 to 150 bushels)
@@Oliver66FarmBoy could not see anything looked clean just wondering what the number was in North Dakota we don't get a grade 1 or 2 on test weight unless it is really low

Your just a darn good farmer Ethan.
Glad to see you are having a successful wheat harvest. Hopefully make up for some of the struggles you have had with the other crops.
Thanks
Wheat looks great, love seeing the OLIVERS in action!
Thanks
Gorgeous looking wheat hope your having a good harvest we made 70-80 on ours in Illinois
Can’t complain about that.
I really like watching that 7300 run! Beautiful machine
I need to wax it.

Sounds like a job well done.
said it before and will say it again it is super cool seeing you make it happen with all the old equipment
Great job. Thank You
The combine is doing a great job of threshing and you certainly have it set right.
It’s a good machine
Great videos and great angles shot. That Old Oliver was walking the dog!!! Ethan say a Big Hello to your dad, mom and wife from us down here in Arkansas okay 👌

The wheat is so clean! You have it set up right on the mark. Love the video thanks.
That's some awesome wheat . Like the older equipment alot . Keep up the good work.
Nice job glad the yeilds were good for you little extra money in your pocket is all ways a good filling
Yep
With the dry stretch that's pretty damn good yield.straw to sell.might be better money than beans this year.
It definitely would have been a good year to have more wheat out.
That’s great man. So happy for you because you work hard.
Thanks

If it was easy everyone would do it I guess.

Looking very good. Combine is doing a nice job.
Thanks
Imagine all that without GPS, Auto steer, and yield monitors. Got to love it!!
Yep
Glad your having a pretty successful wheat harvest
Thanks
According to your calculations the wheat yielded about 80+ bu/acre.....great crop!
Not a bad wheat harvest so far wouldn't complain about those numbers Have a good and safe wheat harvest Ethen
Thanks

Can’t have a tractor show without rain.
@@Oliver66FarmBoy got lucky this year and missed most of the rain. I had a great time.
Apparently you have perfect wheat soil bud 👍
Same here!! Indiana.
Like the way you say Whole Hog.
Got to cut some wheat with my jd 55 combine, may not be as big a cash crop as the others but it sure is just as fun!
In NH we have gotten about 8 inches in the last week, first cutting hasn't happened yet because we haven't hade a dry week yet this summer
Sounds like it’s going to make for a poor quality first cutting.
Part of video with sun going down was pretty cool.
It's going to be a good year for farmers.
Not sure what you deem a good year?

Very good wheat!
Yep
Any thought or plans on having the smaller combine( forgot the number) on wheat. The 7400 on beans than the white do corn?
Wheat looks fantastic.
Thanks
@@Oliver66FarmBoy you betcha
Nice job bud!!
What kind of market do you have in your area for oats, rye, barley compared to winter wheat for selling?
None
Are you going to square baler all the straw this year?
Let’s go Ethan woo woo
Around here their is 140 bu wheat they put all the bells and whistles at it i live in Illinois but not in the black land and i think it was under a pivot
Not really comparing apples to apples
Not enough truck space is a good problem to have way better than not enough crop
Yep
2 mph is all we were running with a 40 foot draper on a 9770
Ethan, I won't be surprised if you hit 1000 bushels .
After the wheat is cut, what do you do with the land? Do you replant this year?
No

Almost nothing. I showed the elevator tickets.
