We've received confirmation from the developer that a patch is in the works for the issue brought up in this review. We do not currently know the release timing of this patch.
Nice work. It's good to know they're listening, as I'm interested in getting the Switch version to play with my kids.

@@BenDSteele There's a new patch today, 1.0.2 on switch and 1.0.3 on the other consoles BUT it doesn't fix that bug neither the infinite lightspeed loop.
The visuals are kinda mind-blowing for the Switch. It's clearly underpowered, but it goes to show what you can do with that level of hardware if you know what you're doing
The graphics on my switch OLED look like shit when playing skywalker saga. I don’t know how to fix it. (Talking about when docked)

@@roachallthetime At the time of writing that I had only seen Switch gameplay from this review. I own the game on PC. Since then I've watched a stream of this game on Switch and I still say that considering the Switch is equivalent to a slightly more powerful Xbox 360 it looks amazing. There is a lot of pop-in and distant objects look rough, but the resolution is reasonably high and its a huge game, compared to some 3rd party games on the Switch it does look amazing
Of course I've only seen a sliver of the game on a stream, it's possible that the parts I saw are better than the rest of the game

Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars is hella underrated and probably my favourite game in the series; I believe people who dislike the game haven't played it or haven't watched The Clone Wars show.

Finally and actual Switch port review. Quick question. What firmware version of the game is it currently? Firmware 1.0.0 or 1.0.1? Just want to know to keep an eye out for a day 1 patch to hopefully resolve that game breaking bug you mentioned.

I thought I was going to hear some toughs and see some gameplay about the games's *Co-op* mode. 🤷
How is it? You like it? How does it run? Why was that not included in this review? Unless there's going to be another Review focusing on the Co-op.

I'm curious to know how the Switch version compares to the other console versions... haven't fully decided which one to get it for yet, but the Switch does have a huge advantage with the portability/mobile aspect.
Well it's the only way to play it natively portably... So which would you rather? 60fps with all the visual bells and whistles or significantly cut back visuals with unlocked 30 fps but portable? Really comes down to if graphics really matter that much to you.
For me personally if there's a game available on the Switch that's also available on other platforms (I have a PS5 as well), I would have to get it on my Switch. Simply because of the portability aspect as I move around and go out a lot, travel here and there. I don't pay that much attention to the graphics and right now a solid 30 FPS on handheld is good enough for me.

I bought it for the Xbox Series X and my girlfriend bought it for her switch. So if you have a next gen console you’ll definitely be able to see the difference, the 4K and 60FPS visuals can’t be beat and you’ll only wanna play it like that but if you don’t have the other systems and are used to the standard HD then you’ll be fine because it still looks great on the switch!
Im a fan of the Lego games. It has been so long since the last one. I have been looking forward to this one for a long time.
Im just not sure if I want to play it on Switch or Series X.
I’d say get it on Series X unless you’re basically only going to play it in handheld mode. That would be the best possible experience. Getting it on PS5 since I’ve also been looking forward to it for a long time, but this Switch version seems pretty decent.
I’m getting the switch version, my kid will play it mostly on the go and solo. Otherwise I would get the PS5 hands down.

Honestly I've been constantly running into visual bugs, invisible objects, flickering textures/models...cutscenes are mildly choppy...I hope these will be fixed.

I get this white line on the side of the game. Only in dark places but other games doesn’t show the line
Can you say anything about performance during split screen? My girlfriend really wants me to buy it on switch but im worried it will run terribly when we play together
There's videos of frame rate tests out with ppl doing split screen on the switch. Drops down to 25/27 sometimes I saw

when i play with the switch docked in the dialogue is silent, idk why but anyone knows a way to fix it?
I got stuck on this bit no jango but I restarted the level and thankfully he reappeared and level now complete and moving on with game to orrow

My recommendation:
If you have another console and don't care about portability, get the game for that console. However that doesn't stop the fact if you only have a Switch, you should still get this game for it! It's just the game runs better on the other consoles and just looks far better too.
I actually just have switch, and even though I will buy it there, I'm impressed how well the game runs and looks in switch, it holds up very well in comparison with the other versions
No matter what console you play this on, it’s still a fun and enjoyable game

It will probably run at 30 fps, but actually the game looks hella well compared to the other versions of the game
From what ive seen its not a consistent 30 fps but fps isnt the main thing with a game like that

How is the split screen co-op experience on switch?
Good question!
I didn't play extensively in co-op but what I played held up fine. Perhaps a slightly less stable frame rate but nothing super impactful.

@@maebunny5298 it was only 50USD on steam instead of the usual 60 for a new game so definitely worth it on there. Gonna wait for a decent sale for the switch version though.
Hello. I am currently having a problem with my character pack (classic character) DLC that came with my physical game pre-order. Whenever I enter the code, it always says that there is an error with the code and that the game hasn’t been released yet. Can you help me with this problem? I want to enjoy the character pack :( Thank you :)
For the jango glitch did you try and replay the level before?
Yes, replayed the previous level, booted into other chapters, reinstalled the game, but no go. However, the devs have told us it is a known issue that they are currently working on.
@@NinWRTV ah I see. Out of curiosity, is there a way you can duplicate save files on the main menu? If not I might have to start on the prequels when I get the game tommorow... I would be absolutely gutted if I had to replay through so much of the game again

every character in the sequels is incredibly vapid except maybe kylo ren
If he had more screen time he could have been a better character. "Could" being the keyword though, because at this point I don't think the writers were capable of making good characters with story arcs
He has more screen time than Han in the original trilogy. People just can't accept that his arc ended in Last Jedi and he wasn't the protagonist of the new trilogy
Blame China, they tried incredibly hard to pander to China and get them hooked on starwars but they are also incredibly racist. Just look at the American poster compared to the chinese poster. Finn is a great actor and it's a shame he was wasted here
