That wood template would look great tiled. Or tile the back wall. Or even steel on the back wall like they do in some kitchens. Or even tin like you use in fencing.
I would paint the wooden stand and the steps one color in black to make it all flow .
I love wood grain personally for shelving but it needs a lot of sealing if its going to be a wet area.
    You could resin it.
And have some great decrotive hooks for the dogs collars and leads.
I'd love something like this. Great job

Great ideas, thanks for taking the time to watch and for your feedback. I may even have enough tile leftover from another project for the top or back wall. Love the tin idea too! Time is my biggest obstacle on the farm. Thanks again!

I like the metal on the wall and hooks to keep stuff off the floor which will be getting wet with that drain. You might wanna fix a place to attached the dog's leash so he cant jump out of the tub. I love it. Great job. Thx for showing your progress.

I want one in my basement so bad! I have a purebred mini Aussie who requires maintenance of de-matting and deshedding, etc. and she kills my back when she plops her butt down to avoid being combed in the back and I have to lean down to lift her up and comb, lol. I have plumbing already for my bathroom downstairs, it required a pump but I don’t know what it’d take to get the plumbing set up for hot/cold water plus drainage and if I would have to get a pump for it separately. Otherwise I’d already have built one. You can actually use a shower base instead of this cutout tub (although his black tub would work great) and build a shower frame around it, use cement board or Schluter system depending how expensive you want it and tile it out. I’d want my walls completely water resistant bc my two love to shake, my male is a mixture of Aussie and Husky and he’s both pitiful whiny and ornery so again, this tub cutout would be so helpful keeping him in and at my height so I’m not killing my self to scrub him down and comb. Because it’s raised you could absolutely build out storage drawers underneath, a woodworker has a short video on his where his doggy steps are actual pullout drawers so it could be top of the line or simplified and either would be back saving and worth it. I wish I could see the plumbing set up though

Hey, thanks for watching and commenting! I definitely relate to your back pain. I hope to continue to improve my setup to make it look nicer as I can. I'm planning on adding cabinets to store towels, shampoo, etc. I can't do much below it because the drain pipe is directly in the center. I currently have a funnel at the bottom of the pvc drain pipe that then goes into a floor drain, also in the center. I'm using the funnel because I still need that drain for other water drainage at times. The area was initially built for the purpose of bathing the dogs, so the walls are cement board painted with a thick waterproof coating. The only real problem had been working on the ground. I love the pull-out steps idea. The biggest issue anything wood in that environment is all the regular exposure to water. I hope you can build one for your needs.

Lol! I DoorDash one of these to my townhouse the other day. I highly doubt I can fit it through the front door lol my only option is to either return it or I guess I can put it on my back patio and make something like this… Anybody have any suggestions to how I can link it up to hot water as well as the cold water outside sorry I really don’t know much about my uncles about to teach me how to do some woodwork Lol!?
At least I can build the base to start lol
