    This is great. You've explained it so well that I feel I can make this by myself. What I love is that I had my plumber put a faucet outside that gives me hot and cold water so that my dog doesn't have to have only cold water during the bath. He charged me $350 and to me it was money well spent considering how much money I was spending ever few weeks going to a self dog washing place to wash my two dogs.

    I injured my back so this idea is very simple and can be done by myself so I am very happy. I would add stairs for the dogs and cut one side open so I wouldn't have to carry my 70Ib dogs. And the extra amenities u mentioned would make it even better. Thank you for the starting point

    Fantastic idea! Wonderful of you guys to share it with everyone.

    Great Idea- only thing it needs is your shelf you mentioned for shampoos, conditioner, mitts, and brushes, etc- and connecting an tie-in just for that extra safety measure for the dogs.❤️‍🩹❤️
    If you paint or put a clear coat on the wood to protect it from the water/weather it will serve you a long time. You can even build stairs for the dogs, eventually, so you don’t have to lift them. 👍🏼 It gets addictive. 😊

    I just used this to fashion my own. There were a couple of tweaks that I made, and a couple of expansions, but the base is off of yours. Thank you for sharing this!

      Easy as pie ... just lift the dirty 55 lb dog into it and then lift the wet 60 lb dog out. Yikes!

    I will be building something just like this. Instead of a tin stock tank, I am using a large dog carrier bottom part only. I will have opening to allow the doggie to step in plus a stairway going up to the opening. Thank you for the resource to reference as I build.

    My toy poodle was napping on my lap when I was watching this. When your neighbor dog started barking she jumped up and looked at the window like oh dang, theres a big dog outside. Meanwhile, my wolfdog who is 135 pounds is still napping next to us 😂
    Ps. Very nice build!!

    Also you can get a grate type thing to put inside so that your pup won't ever be standing in water and it makes it easier to get soap and water off them. Its not a necessity but a cool added option

    Since it’s getting wet I would have used pressure treated wood with outdoor stain/seal. I’d add supports under all the rails. Also, did you add a drain? If not it needs one. Maybe a water shut off on the table so you don’t have to walk to the house to shut it off. Great idea though. How’s it holding up now that it’s been a year or so?

    • @creatinghomebynicole
      @creatinghomebynicole  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for the suggestion! I planned on painting the wood and I have another piece I painted that I use as a planter, with the paint the wood has held up being wet. It lasted well for the duration we used it, about 8 months. We moved after that so we took it apart and haven't had the chance to rebuilt it yet.

    I think this is a great idea…I have small dogs so hmmm I prefer bathing indoors. Maybe hook up to tub instead outdoors spicket. Thank you

    • @creatinghomebynicole
      @creatinghomebynicole  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! We will definitely be doing that in the future, as this home is a rental! But in our future home we would love to hook it up to warm water, for now it’s fine as we only bath the dogs outside in the summer and summers here are so hot even the water is warm coming out of the hose!

    Haha 😄...they sell a base that's metal that fits that tub. You order it through tractor supply and tarter sends it to tractor supply for pickup.

      Yeah, I'm in El paso too just off borderland and westside drive. you can see mine if you like. However, you did a fantastic job on that built! very effective. Also, if you send your build photos into tarter tubs and tanks, they may just send you some sweet swag!

    Any issues with it just being cold water coming out? I'm thinking of building one, but worry especially about the colder winter months!

    • @creatinghomebynicole
      @creatinghomebynicole  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kaitlyn! No issues thus far but we do live in the desert so it’s always hot here, thus keeping the water warm. I’ll keep you updated during the winter months!

  • @kaylasmith9423
    @kaylasmith9423 ปีที่แล้ว

    So how is it temperature regulated? Also if you guys wanna save your backs I'd recommend adding a ramp or stairs so the dogs can walk up themselves

    Warm water in winter?

    • @creatinghomebynicole
      @creatinghomebynicole  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately no warm water attached to it, but we don’t bathe our dogs outside during the winter, that’s when we do indoor in the bathtub baths! It would definitely be a goal of ours to have it connect to warm water in the future when we own our home, right now we are renting.

      Hi! No we are not connected to hot water, but this will only be used in the summer time, in the winter the girls get bathed inside!

    • @creatinghomebynicole
      @creatinghomebynicole  ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re right, however we live in the desert and it’s always hot here. If it’s ever below about 85 degrees we will bathe them inside, however it would only be in the winter that it would be under 85 here. In the summer even us humans love being under the water hose!
