- Join us as we take an epic overland journey through California's rugged beauty! We started off in the surreal landscape of Death Valley, exploring some of the offroading trails it has to offer. We then climbed in elevation offering stunning views of rolling hills and thick pine forests as we made our way toward Monache Meadows.

Killer shots. You should have way more followers soon man!
Appreciate it! Maybe one day the algorithm will be in my favor 🥲
What an amazing route!
Thank you! Lots of planning!
This was rad! I grew up in the Kern Valley and it was fun to see this part of the vid shown so well. I've mountain biked all of those areas shown but now that I have a ZR2 myself the next step is to drive it! Love your videos!
Very cool, thank you!
That looks like a lot of fun.
It was a blast!
Another great video!
Thank you!
Great video and outstanding job spotting
Thank you!
Looks like a fun time man 🤘
It was a blast 🙌🏽
Subscribed! Great footage! Nice rig! Thank you for not being like most youtubers who stick their face in front of the camera 90% of the time. My only gripe would be music. I prefer to hear the silence of nature and the sounds of your truck going through the rough sections. Keep up the great work!
Appreciate it and the feedback! I personally feel like sometimes with no music it can get a bit boring but understand your points. Thanks for subscribing
That's great!!!
Thank you!
I was in Death Valley last week. If you want a fun trail, drive it up to the parking area next to the Defense Mine. 😃
I'll have to check it out next time!
New subscriber here. Thanks for the time in making your videos especially the drone shots. I am new to over landing, in the process of building out my Tundra, and I think it would be helpful to your subscribers if you let us know what difficulty rating are some of the trails you go to. If possible. Thanks again!
Thanks for subscribing. I provide the names of the trails and even the coordinates of where the trail begins throughout my videos. I recommend getting ratings from an app like Trails Offroad to find difficulty levels that suit your rig and experience.
You’ve got a tail light bulb out lol
Yeah I know that was fixed shortly after lol. The LasFit bulbs do not work well as brake lights, they burn out.
@@outlandishoverland Shoot… I’ve got lasfit in mine, do you know of any other LED bulbs that work
As of right now no, I put the halogens back in. The LasFit for turn signals are fine, just the brake lights burn out. Been through 2 of them already.
I love auxito in my ford.
Good job on the throttle control. Far less breakage with a little bit of finesse.
Thank you. That's for sure, when you try to use gas to solve everything that's how things tend to break 😅
Did you check out furnace Creek or the old borax mine while in death valley?
We did check out Furnace Creek while we were there very cool. We didn't have time to do the Old Borax Mine though
@outlandishoverland very cool! 🥵🥵🥵
I love studying the history of places like that. You never know what you may find...
Amazing content! Do you have a list or video of all the mods for this build?
I do I have a full rig walk around video on the channel!
7:04 why is this shot not on instagram
Good point 🤔
Avoid smashing in your rear bumper? You take your Colorado to car shows? haha
I mean technically yes it will be featured at SEMA this year. I've already smashed that exact side once at Hells Revenge so rather not fork up the money again to fix it 🤨
@@outlandishoverlandwhat area will you be at in SEMA? Great video and happy to see my local area (Kern County) being enjoyed! 👍🏻
@@vettencle My ZR2 will be displayed in the Central Hall at booth 20321
High 30s and low 40s wow bikini weather 😂😂
Not when there is high humidity 🤣
kind of hilarious. @4:11 minutes in and anyone could hike that easily. Why bring a truck?
Because this trail is 23 miles long and offroading is fun. I wouldn't recommend hiking 23 miles during the day at the hottest place on Earth. There are plenty of signs to advise you not to do so.
@outlandishoverland ufff that's a hot one.
