I'm sorry to hear that, Mark. I know exactly what you're going through with you neighbor from hell.
I completely sympathize with you. The guy who lives above me is always loudly fighting with his girlfriend. When they're not fighting, he's stomping around and dropping things. I hope you find a nice apartment where no one lives above you!
i know what you mean,my neighbour has been bullying for over a year,i too have contacted her landlord,council.She does it even more when she knows this.She has damaged my property and my car.I own my house she is renting but the landlord is a friend of hers.I worried if i contact the police she will do even more.

I used to live in a cul de sac with 8 houses 4 on each side and the 3 other houses on our side all liked a drink, with their teenage kids, after just giving birth I'd had enough of the music and arguing until all hours and I reported them had police out etc, because the ones we complained about were next door to us we ended up having problems with the other 2 neighbours too because they all drank together, it started at about 4 on a fri (once the teenagers were back from school ) and literally never stopped until about 11 on the Sunday morning and they were literally drinking the whole time! As you can imagine having just had a newborn it was no fun and after I complained their noise just increased along with criminal damage and death threats, thankfully we moved but what annoyed me was every time the police came out because there was 3 houses all counter complaining about us just out of spite we looked I've the ones causing the problem all because we were just exhausted and desperately needed a sleep! The day we moved the teenager next door actually came out and to,d me he would hunt me down and burn me alive and he said that in front of my 3 year old daughter whose now 14 and still terrified of these people! Thankfully I've moved to a lovely area, been here 7 years now and have lovely neighbours both side but I completely sympathise with you it's terrible having neighbour problems, I had to be put on anti depressants and almost had a nervous breakdown through sheer exhaustion! I went through all of that like I say with a toddler and a newborn on practically 0 sleep and I was at college at the same time and somehow managed to pass my course with 2 distinctions but to this day I don't know how I died it's! Hope things get better soon xx
I'm in the USA, so the laws are probably different but 'm surprised management is not making him move, especially if there is a history with him. I just experienced the same issue with a new neighbor. From day one the noise and people trailing in and out of the apartment were extreme. It was around the holidays and I thought it was just holiday and housewarming parties that would subside once everyone got through the holiday break. It didn't. Groups of people would show up at 3:30-3:45am and that's when the loud music and yelling would begin. I was woken up at least 4-5 X a week. I finally complained to management, I've never complained in 10yrs. They told me to call the police. I had to when people were fighting upstairs at 3:00am the next day. Leases here are pretty clear about what you can and can't do and management pushed the issue with him and he finally stopped or he'd be kicked out. It's been a few weeks and he's being much more respectful of the noise. Hope it gets better.
The neighbors behind the wall of my room make noises like that. I understand creepy neighbors from hell Mark! You can't change stupid!
My family was attacked last night by my neighbour and all her family members (9 of them). They dragged my daughter out of our home beating her then attacked my husband and myself. They were racist too. Then smashed my husband's work van windscreen. Apparently the police are reluctant to do anything. They threatened to come back again and we are fearing for our lives now. This was the second time. I really would love to get rehoused but apparently we do not meet the criteria. I don't know what to do.
The same happens to me. I bought ear plugs, absolute lifesavers his and mine.

I really hate that advice....buy a pair of earplugs. No, No, and NO. Everybody has the right to the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of their property.

I've got the nightmare neighbour from hell she is a tenant and I own my own house and they are sticking up for her she's had her kids took off her and the police in the council try and blame my Asperger's saying I'm imagining stuff even though I've got video evidence I'm being treated like a tenant it's really bad and the house is being used for drug dealing and her landlord ignores our complaining. I've got videos of the abuse and the council are saying and the police because she's not shouting my name they can't do anything. It's unbelievable
If you don't own it move. Sociopaths psychopaths and narcissists love this kind of behaviour. They. Desperately need the attention. Authorities do little to help. If you haven't purchased the property and your lease is up be thankful and move on. Obviously you have already.

I'm in UK. I've had noisy disrespectful neighbours before and it really is horrendous. I owned my house and they rented so moving wasn't something I wanted. The police did very little, talked to them a few times but they would continue. It was mainly drunken arguments. Luckily they left after 6 months. I would definitely move. I have this idea to solve the housing problem in the UK to provide affordable housing....tiny houses on small plots of land. Not rocket science but it could be extremely cheap and provide security to lots more people.
hi mark Im from the u.s. im sorry also about all this mess. I went thru the same some years ago. I had a guy that would park in our spot , harass my husband. knock on our door for different things and I told him to stop so he put a threating note on my window of car will I took it to police made a copy of statement and gave copy to the main office of apartment. he was later evicted or kicked out by the sheriff or cop I forgot the name of the authority that does that. another time a neighbor left all his beer cans on my step so I have to step over when I come home from work I told them to throw away their beer cans. they got mad at me and the next day I found my winsheild to my car shattered and broken. talk about neighbors from hell. ya, they were neighbors from hell. good luck . with sympathy.
I was told noisy/anti social neighbors who own there homes can be served with a noise abatement order and fined 5000 pounds if they didn't stop but the noise has will have to be witnessed by an official for that to happen. I've been suffering from nasty neighbors in a leasehold flat who have sub woofers and deliberately turn the bass up very loud, they shout and swear when there friends are around and bang and shout. They are quite violent and threatening I've been verbally abused by them several times such as being called a retard and other names. I've called the environmental health plus the anti social line and they didn't seem all that interested I was told they would call me back within 24 hours to take a more detailed report but they never did. I hate being bullied and I feel totally helpless at this point. One thing is I wont let them push me out my home. Hopefully I can get the issue resolved at some point.
I have more than one neighbor from hell...a serious assault from one caught on camera, one making noise all hours of night from downstairs and others who cause disturbances, threats, etc. as well...I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It causes stress, indeed, weight loss with me and more...anyway, glad to encounter your channel!
Hi Mark, keep a record of *everything* and keep on at the council until they take you seriously. Get the police involved if appropriate. In my case, the local police spoke to my housing office and I'm getting a move soon hopefully. I was so scared I couldn't even leave the house. Hope things have improved for you.
I totally sympathise mate. I've a neighbour under me who is and has caused the other tenant before me to move. She is a old contancarious woman never had a man I'm told, who is bored and moan's about everything all the time. I was warned about her by Agency and my Neighbour Chris, she moan's to council about everything. I private rent , I to have had huge grievances caused to my life effecting my health and am daily trying to sort problem's out I should'nt of been caused. I believe the Council have got a bit cute with what she is all about and realize she is a bored lonely old woman who Stare's at her window or tablet all day and moan's at everybody about nothing worth moaning about. I actually pity her and feel sorry for her. To not have to be on phone as I am sorting problems gave to me by awful mistake's, must be a blessing. Isint she the lucky one not to of lost all she worked for as I've been forced to endure because of terrible miscarriage's of justice caused to me. Some people geeza are just very un kind with no compassion for there fellow Human Being's. I a come knock on your neighbour's door if you want. I'm 6ft 2 and built like the side of a house. I have a peeping tom & police can't help as I have no evidence & my housing association has now decided it's down o my mental health & they've done nothing to answer for ... oh & I've been told I have to stop discussing it with my friends or on social media as it's upsetting peeper boys family ... well tough .
I'm now getting a solicitor & am going to be making a youtube video of my own .
How is it in this day & age that the victim is told to shhh , while the perpatrator gets no consequences at all ?

I don't think much can be done :( When my parents were house hunting recently, the woman who was showing them round a house revealed to them her daughter moved in with her and had a nervous breakdown and quit her job because her next door neighbor played loud music constantly and was impossible to deal with, at least she disclosed this information to everyone else instead of passing on the problem! Sadly it seems a problem for your landlord who has to rent your place out but just get out of there :(
+Rachel Y Yes, it seems that the law is actually protecting the people who cause the problem and doesn`t appear to be interested in helping the victims of their noise.

I too having problems with my downstairs neighbour who is noise for hours at night, keeping me awake and calling me disgusting names including calling me a mongo and peodophile (I am not). Nightmare neighbours are just horrenous as no one seem to do anything.

omg! Mark, I have had the same issues since 2019. did you manage to get this resolved? Did the guy upstairs have mental health issues?

the person who rented it to you should have told you before hand, obviously it was a known issue with the council and the police.
+fUP420babe I have been looking into that and I think that that only applies if you are selling a property and not renting it. I may be wrong though because despite my research I have been unable to find a definite answer.

There is little worse than a bad neighbor. When the law doesn't help, there is little to do (aside from tempting illegal alternatives) but to cut your loss and to find a better situation. Good luck (what would Nietzsche say?).

I just can't understand why some people have to be so inconsiderate to others. I feel for you. will be looking forward to a flat or of your new place when you get it though☺

Hope you get a better flat and a job soon.As he owns his flat it is hard to get him moved on.You could possibly get the health and environment dept to take readings of the noise with a view to legal action,but to be honest it l be simpler and less stressful for you to move.

They also had a party and got drunk until 11 pm! My nice neighbor on the first floor heard them. The idiot kept shouting in Spanish, mala mala! This means bad in English. She only shouted this one word like five times! Complete pinhead! She doesn't know how to say anything clever or cheeky.

boring useless video about nothing! someone is sitting and just moaning and did nothing to support his video with evidence BUT expecting everyone to believe in his ... words. Tell it to the police they like it. They just announce a victim or defendant as they like based on words of nothing.

LYN LOVES JESUS this doesn’t work with some as it only fuels their antisocial behaviour. Even speaking rationally with them can find you dealing with other issues if they aren’t nice individuals.
