- The Vision Pro is a phenomenal device, but there's room for improvement. With WWDC approaching, let's discuss the top 6 features Apple should add to visionOS 2.0. From spatial apps to improved window management, here's my wishlist to elevate the experience.
Key Takeaways:
0:00 Intro
0:14 1. More Spatial Apps
Move away from flat apps and create more immersive 3D experiences.
1:17 2. Better Window Management
Introduce snapping in the Shared Space, saved workspaces, and contextual suggested workspaces.
4:03 3. Improved Text Editing
Simplify cursor movement and text correction for seamless typing.
4:32 4. Developer Camera Access
Give developers direct access to cameras for innovative mixed reality applications.
6:06 5. Improved Sharing and Demoing
Make it easier to share the Vision Pro experience with friends and family.
6:59 6. Enhanced Spatial Persona Features
Record SpaceTimes, support asynchronous Persona messages, and add a Spatial Persona API.

Thanks for the video! My wishlist item would be for the ability to natively open multiple Mac windows.
Good stuff!
thank you much appreciated!
I think your vids are really dope. And this one is no exception. Great observations... Experiencing similar, I agree with every syllable. #AVPLIFE
thank you so much! I appreciate the encouragement!
I want the maps app to be mixed-reality. Superimposed over what you are looking at and to scale. So, imagine you're walking and the directions are like a path on the ground that you walk along. And when you look around at the buildings and whatever, the points of interest are indicated at the actual locations you are looking at. Basically like you are walking inside the maps app and it is superimposed over your actual view of reality.
for sure although I think we're at least 2 generations away from this being an outdoors device!
1st gen Apple Vision Pro wasn't really designed to be used outdoors while walking.
It might be a while before Apple slightly changes course on the direction they want to take this product category into.
7:45 I thought it was also available on Zoom, no?
I understand the sentiment but I wish that people would stop complaining about the keyboard. Yeah I bet it is slow. But it's meant to be like an iPad. It has the same solution for this that the iPad has. Buy a keyboard. Or the more appropriate solution for a headset, dictate your message (I don't know if dictating is available on VisionOS?)
do you own a Vision Pro?
imo form-factor is making a restriction on which apps you can make - if it was something like a pool-glasses (believe it or not, I didn't know that word till this moment, but it came to my mind anyway), it'll be easier to come up with an app idea that would work; if this makes sense
I have a feeling like avp apps are line apps for dude in full plate armor if that were possible
yeah making it smaller is a tremendous challenge!
i think hardware and software of vission pro lacks a massive "steve jobs" kinda pressure... it is too normal and similar to whats already on the market... they did it "better" and thats arguable, but its not really WOW i NEED that...
what do you think that would look like? Despite its flaws, I think gen 1 AVP is arguably the most advanced consumer electronics device shipped to date
@@cosmoscharf although it is the most technically advanced, its more of the same. Overall apple is the same of steve jobs, but more refined. And the products that were created after him (airpods, watch and vision) are just responses to the market, technically better then.
They have a great team, but lack an LSD leadership.
Just look at iMac, they just removed a logo and repeated the colour thing of the past...
There is nothing trully NEW, its just the same, better.
