This feels like propaganda. Is nothing like the first iPhone, If this is not propaganda and just young passion then I kinda understand how you feel but it's not even comparible to the first iPhone. When the Iphone came out it changed the whole phone industry it was ground breaking offering features that weren't even though possible and it was a product everyone had or wanted to have. Now let's compare it to the vision pro First I haven't seen a single person that's not into tech even talk about the thing there's people that don't even know what this is, it sadly didn't bring nothing new to the table it just made a VR/AR headset with no new feature it brought nothing it's just smoother at AR tasks

Worlds most valuable companies tend to use dystopian sci-fi as a guide rather than a warning. Tech is impressive but the implications of an entity like Apple owning our spacial reality as they do the iphone ecosystem is terrifying. In the end, just like the iphone, the headset will be a content consumption device rather than anything useful for productivity.

i think hardware and software of vission pro lacks a massive "steve jobs" kinda pressure... it is too normal and similar to whats already on the market... they did it "better" and thats arguable, but its not really WOW i NEED that...

I want the maps app to be mixed-reality. Superimposed over what you are looking at and to scale. So, imagine you're walking and the directions are like a path on the ground that you walk along. And when you look around at the buildings and whatever, the points of interest are indicated at the actual locations you are looking at. Basically like you are walking inside the maps app and it is superimposed over your actual view of reality.

imo form-factor is making a restriction on which apps you can make - if it was something like a pool-glasses (believe it or not, I didn't know that word till this moment, but it came to my mind anyway), it'll be easier to come up with an app idea that would work; if this makes sense

I understand the sentiment but I wish that people would stop complaining about the keyboard. Yeah I bet it is slow. But it's meant to be like an iPad. It has the same solution for this that the iPad has. Buy a keyboard. Or the more appropriate solution for a headset, dictate your message (I don't know if dictating is available on VisionOS?)

Great video. However... I think you should have said more about spatial audio...it's a very compelling feature, that solidifies that feeling of presence. We had a call scheduled, which was canceled for some reason. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I think we should officially coin the term “space time” for FaceTime with Spatial Personas.

For me it's the sound. Close your eyes on a spatial call and you can still perceive where everyone is. This is also the advantage in horizon workrooms.
