Straight to the point, Beautiful footage THAT ACTUALLY CAPTURE THE REASON TO GET THIS LENS , and informative pros and cons. It only took me 88 videos to get here but Thank God i found it.
Thank you for the wonderfully succinct video with all the video samples… I’m a long-time NIKON DSLR & SLR user… guess now I need to move to the Z RANGE so that I can use the 7Artisans cine lenses! Looking forward to watching more of your review videos.
Nice review. Came up at the right time as I'm looking at these, the Meike and the NiSi - these seem the most affordable - I just did a lens test of the NiSi yesterday which is making this decision even harder. Thanks for a great video. Your b-roll was beautifully shot!
The rendering of the skin looks very Leica-like. The Chinese are getting much better with the quality of their optical glass. Great review as always. What camera did you shoot the lens sample footage on? Thanks
An incredibly helpful, concise and yet detailed review, as always! Well done! I would love to see some more examples of faces or subjects at the edge of the frame with these wide angles to compare barrel distortion and 'operating range' within the wider field of view. It looks particularly clean/minimal on this one! Maybe in the next review we could see a comparison with some of your other similar budget cine wide angles? 🤞🙏 Thanks again for the hard work Pav!
@@PavSZHe asked this: Did you zoom-in on DaVinci Resolve? Is there any kind of crop in the footage? No barrel-effect? Btw, amazing review! Such beautiful shots, really helpful (most reviews is all talk and beauty shots of the lens, not actual footage using it)
Thanks for the video! I already have the 35mm and 50mm from 7Artisans for my Sony FX6 so I guess I will add this one to my list after I grab the 85mm. I would like to know what is the motorized focus puller you are using? Thanks again for an informative review.
I don't think so unless you are going to use step up rings as well or the filters are thicker. I have used the magnetic system on it which has got the magnetic ring and the filter and there was no vignetting visible with those.
sir do you thing the screw use for the weight for easy use in gimbal? so we can eazy change lens from 35mm to 14mm?. . becouse i already got the 35mm t2.0 . . i realy wana but this 14mm hope you can try for me 🙏. . and i use the PDmovie liveair3smart for my auto focus. . hope you can make video about it tq sir
I have reviewed 35mm T2.0 previously. As I have said in this video, the gears on all of these Spectrum lenses are in the same places so changing them in the rig is easy. PDMOVIE live air 3 smart will need calibrating for each lens
@@PavSZ yeah i am not afraid the aperture to be honest, just the distortion...since its a "cinema" lens lightroom may not have corrections for it... i m between this and the Laowa 15mm f2... cant really decide
@@PavSZ hmmm you are so correct... i used to own the laowa 14mm f4 and even it was also fully manual there was a Lightroom profile for corrections.... maybe it was something more general... anyway thanks for your replies :) good content Sir

THANK you very much!
Thank you for making something straight to the point with video examples. You just convinced me to add this to my arsenal. Thank you 🙏🏾
I'm glad it was helpful. Thank you for watching
Thank you I was shopping and decided to check out reviews and this was great
thanks for watching!

moving to one of Z cams is a good idea full stop.

the skin tone will be my colour grading as I have filmed everything with it in S-log3 on Sony a7sIII.
Still very good lens optically

Thank you Pav for this valuable video🙏.
My pleasure

Hiciste un zoom en davinci? Es algún tipo de recorte en la imagen? No hay efecto de barril?
I'd happy reply but I only speak English or Polish

@@jonascordero1 thanks and thanks!
I edited everything in Adobe Premiere and there was no crop applied
As always, nice review!
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome review, Pav. Well done mate!
Thanks Shane!

thanks!
I used PDMOVIE Air LiDAR AF follow focus
It’s good for taking photo of milky way ???
it is a cine lens but potentially it could do it
I enjoyed watching your video. I have a quick question: can I add a non magnetic UV filter to this lens?
Thank you. Yes, of course, standard threaded filters work with it too
Hello
what follow focus are you use in the video please ?
PDMovie Live Air 3 Smart
very nice review mate
Thank you kindly
what rig and gear you use in video sir? 1:44
It's a Sony a7sII, Kondor Blue rig and PD Movie follow focus th-cam.com/video/vfndhqovDBI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gz7M-lQH8FGL6khK
Don’t have any 7artisans lenses but I gues the screws maybe work as stops like in a follow focus?
they are not connected to the focus ring in any way. Mystery
Will a regular vnd like a nisi vignette on this lens?
I don't think so unless you are going to use step up rings as well or the filters are thicker.
I have used the magnetic system on it which has got the magnetic ring and the filter and there was no vignetting visible with those.
@@PavSZ thanks! I'll wait for these to release in my country. I've been wanting a wide angle but the samyang doesn't have a proper way to hold filters
is this lens manual focus? how do you achieve auto focus your face in the video?
As marked on video. I have used PD Movie LiDAR auto focus system
Would this fit on a Full frame sony a7iii ? since its cropped what would it actually shoot at ?
It is a full frame lens. The Sony-e mount version will work with a7III
Nice lens! Even nicer hat 😉
I don't know where I got it from. Ansomandco or something like that 😉

Hello! What sensor/camera did you use in these shots?
It was Lumix S5IIx
would you use this lens for real estate, photo video?
It would be OK for that, especially if you shoot at T8 or smaller apertures
@@PavSZ yeah i am not afraid the aperture to be honest, just the distortion...since its a "cinema" lens lightroom may not have corrections for it... i m between this and the Laowa 15mm f2... cant really decide
@@sardanapalos there is no lightroom correction for it. There is no electronic contact with the camera so you don't have any EXIF data
