I was choosing between the 14 and the 12 and I decided that I wanted to make sure I was thinking about the future if I invested in a new camera body so I bought this lens. Looking forward to using it.
CINEMA LENSES in general have: 1. Manual focus only, no AF b.s. 2. No ILIS (In Lens Image Stabilization). 3. Manual iris ring with the proper gear for follow-focus. 4. Same for the focus ring, and also for the zoom ring if the lens is a zoom. The footage out of the Canon C70 looked the ebst, and the quite pricey Canon glass looked sharper and more "with it" than the really cheap 7Artisans lens. Personally, I would never use any lens wide open for the aperture, also even for still photography I would use all-manual cina lenses 95% of the time. No AF brouhaha.
Nice comparison, I am thinking of getting one too. Thanks 🙏
Hi, my 14mm artisans lens doesn’t take pics or record. It displays just fine on the screen. Am I missing something?

I really like the 14mm.
