You titled this finding your identity as an entrepreneur, but it sounds like you are making it. You are integrating your desires, and skills with market forces. That's pretty cool.
    Thanks for the video!

I just re watched part one of this interview and between now and then ‘Jack of all of trades, master of none…….but often better than a master of one!’ I just learned the quote actually goes on and I believe as creatives/tinker we should really make the rest of the quote as famous or more than just ending it at a master of none. 8:16 😊 great insight guy keep it up

Great interview guys! I loved hearing the issues you are working through in terms of running your own business. If it helps, I found you both through 3D printing

Maybe you should think about seeing yourself as an educator on youtube. Go into all the topics you want, provide informative content about them and you'll be able to do whatever you want while having an identity others would remember.
And you can put a unique spin on things by being the one youtube educator that shows one how to make money with ones new learned skills as well.

I'm new here so I apologize about these questions perhaps you can make a video about some of this. I'm trying to launch a business with 2 products mostly 3D printed, made enough sales with friends and co-workers to justify an X1 Carbon. Looking on Amazon selling, they don't explain the shipping options well, or anything else really nor does Etsy. Wondering if you could give a little advise for a choosing a platform for a startup?

But how do you find your customer?

I would like to offer a piece of advice... I think it is incorrect to try to combine your source of income with something you are passionate about. To clarify further, it's always good advice to find something you enjoy doing for work, but to invest your emotion into it deeply is not a good idea. My job is 5 axis machinist / fabricator / technician for a tech company in the silicon valley. But in my free time I have some very interesting personal projects. My personal projects are what I invest my emotional energy into, but my work, which I very much enjoy, is just work. So I would advise that you find a personal project to invest your emotions into and treat your work as just a source of income, which I am sure you would still enjoy. It gives you a valuable perspective.
Also, when somebody asks you to make something but it doesn't 'interest' you..Well, tough luck...Just Do It ! It's money and your building a relationship and it can lead to other things and yada yada yada.
