Have you ever met an overachiever -- someone that performs at a completely different level? Immediately you feel their presence! Do you know what I'm talking about?
You may wonder why they think the way they do, and why they have the level of energy they do.
A lot of people say that I'm different than a lot of people online and that I present things from a different perspective. They want to know who I look up to and admire, and who I get my inspiration from.
That's such a great question, so I decided to make a video on it.
In this video I cover the five identities of an entrepreneur.
    #1: Athlete - 1:44
Here are the things an entrepreneur can learn from athletes:
    *Work Ethic - 2:44
If you want to be inspired, watch this 20-second scene - 5:12
*Athletes Play When Everyone Else is on Vacation- 7:08
*Athletes Stay in Shape -- 8:44
    *Athletes Practice -- 9:09
    *Interviews - 9:18
    *They're competitive - 10:09
    #2: Head Coach - 11:13
    #3: CEO - 13:05
    #4: Leader of the Nation -- 15:06
#5: They Think About Someone Who is About to Lose it All -- 18:41

"If your values and principles that you talk about are aligned with your behavior, everybody replicates it" BUT if your values and principles that you talk about are not aligned, everyone laughs at you behind your back. Pat, you said it so well. I can't agree more.

Pat, I have been volunteering as a youth basketball coach since 1995 when I finished playing after High School. Its very competitive in Brooklyn/Queens area. Last night we lost the championship game of a big 10 year old Christmas tournament 33-31 and missed the last shot of the game. We beat 3 of the 4 final four teams to get to the championship. What made me think of VALUETAINMENT was when I was walking to the quarterfinals game against one of the final four teams that was supposed to spank us, I was sooo PUMPED, I felt like I understood what Arnold was talking about. I realized that I was experienced, having coached for 22 years. I was prepared having continued to study videos up until minutes before the game about the defenses these teams played by Bobby Knight & Coach K, etc. The boys and I were both physically fit and prepared for an intense game from numerous practices and workouts while everyone took the Christmas week off. During these games, we experienced everything you mentioned, had to sell the boys they could win, had to bench a star who then came back to perform under pressure. Had to sell a lower skill player that he could finish when his # was called. I sat at my desk this morning disappointed by the loss however so excited to bring that level of PUMP to my business. My team and I are experts in our field, prepared to win, continually educating and committed to the goal. I played the VALUETAINMENT video to start my day and this one came up next in the playlist. Very appropriate. PS. Look out for my boys in the Brooklyn/Queens playoffs in February and look out for my business, Tech 2 Success in 2017!

You sir, are a wise man. Personally, I was a bit of a knuckle head growing up. In the past few years I've been learning and developing a lot of the skills and ideas you mention. A lot of things you talk about resonate with me. I'm currently working on the solution to distracted driving. When I started talking about it, people would just look at me funny. Now, a week and a half later, everyone I talk to is supporting me, even law enforcement. It's amazing what a good idea, a little motivation and persistence can do. It doesn't stop there though. If you don't believe in your vision to the fullest, and you meet someone and share your idea and they don't see it, it will be easy for them to leave all the pieces at your feet as you walk away from it. You can't ever let anyone tell you what your idea is or isn't. You can only learn how to explain the idea so people understand it. And on the other side of the coin, even if your idea is better than sliced bread, you must still listen to constructive criticisms. Those criticisms will leave you wondering how many different ways you can slice the bread, what kind of bread you can slice, and what kinds of slices of other things would sandwich well between those slices of bread? Maybe that triggers you to think about bread knives and you come up with a genius idea in that industry. Then the baking industry. Then the packaging industry. Then the catering industry. You see? You started with sliced bread, and ended up with an empire. Do not fixate on the single great idea. If you had one good idea, you will have more. Put the first good idea down. Come up with several more good ideas, then revisit the original idea. I guarantee you will see the first idea in new light and you will change it and make it better and you will go back around the little "idea circle" and each successive idea will get better and better. Invent sliced bread, then build an empire around it.

Successful entrepreneurs are a compilation of many different industries, athletes have very good work ethic and show up everyday, stay in shape and work like someone if fighting for your position, in correlation entrepreneurs are much like coaches because they are very good as developing people, CEO's have to be humble and give credit for successes and take the fall for bad things, recognize individuals, pride, mild paranoia is good

Wow! Love this list! I believe in EVERYTING you said. A side note. :) When I was in labor with my son, I used the process of what I prepared my mind for when I ran a marathon to endure the "race...." After all, if I can run 26.2 miles, I can do anything.... lol To prepare for important meetings, to gain fresh perspective, or get clarity of mind, I go to the gym and dig deep. I literally find my mojo lifting weights or on the spin bike......

Jumped from 42k subs to 47k subs. Thank you for posting these great resources for us Patrick! One other thought I had when you were speaking about the types of leaders (of a nation) was the dictator style. The one that says "It was me who did this, I'm the best, you all are worthless. I'm the intelligent one here" These leaders exist too. It's hard for others to be around that type of ego, and only a few tough it out to get what they want.

    • @VALUETAINMENT
      @VALUETAINMENT  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

They do exist but they're also the ones who make the best ones look even better. One of The best leaders of a nation to study is Marcus Aurelius. You can start by reading "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius.

there's some much deeper thought behind hind why sports are played on days everyone has off when theyre suppose to be working ..people usually just sit on their ass and watch tv.add revenue. so the strategy is semi genius to play sports on these days, but why no games on christmas day or new years ..mhmm is like this would be crossing the line. or would they rather have people go out spending money ..mhm. is all a combination and once you can manipulate that system youll be great. in sales terms.

Why does Pat always get the number of subscribers incorrect? It clearly says on his own video that it's around 45,000

Because by the time we upload the video it's already increased. Some of the videos were record a week before they get uploaded on youtube.
