I have never followed sport but did enjoy this movie
Sport is all about life lessons that do last a lifetime. There's a lot more to sports than just a bat and ball that's for sure. As a 50+ adult I can't remember the last time I cried and I'm not sure if happy tears count I dont even know for sure if it's pride or pure joy but my local team has gotten to me more than once over the years.

Ruth could only play whoever was in front of him, he just loved to play ball and was good at it. He also played exhibition games during the off season and played with and against many black players in fact had pretty good numbers too while facing black pitchers Ruth in 55 AB hit 12 HR with a 455 average he was not racist at all.
