Has anyone else realized how her mom kind of sucks she’d rather her sit at home and have a bunch of babies instead of follow her dreams there’s nothing wrong with the stay at home mom if that’s what you choose to be but forcing her to be one is crazy
I wonder why some of her school mates does want her play basketball even some parents and she better than others. My younger sister also use to play with team boys in high school and she come out the best.
and of course they can't help but weave in a poorly written love story. And a game of HORSE for the post championship, just because the girl who carried them to the state championship still has to prove herself? And for what, to raise money to make a girls team? What a slap in the face; both for her to have to play and for the money to go to girls basketball, so she's not back next year? So dumb, so sad, so poorly thought through.
I hate to burst people's bubbles but no high school girl can make a state-level boy's team. In fact; I'm sure that if Caitlyn Clark would get cut from over 3/4 the high school boy's teams and those that she could make are probably not state champ levels. When I was in high school, over 40 years ago there was an all-country girl playing basketball, on a girl's team. However, PE was coed and in PE classes there were plenty of boys who were cut from the boy's JV team who clearly outplayed her.
@@clv8939 When I was in HS around 40 years ago we won states in football, 11-0, and yet the placekicker could barely make a PAT. So a good HS girl who can placekick can make a team as that position is an afterthought at the HS level as teams don't need them to win states. However, while they are good in making PATs, that's all they do. About 8-10 girls have hit FG or 40+ yards, the record is 48 yards for a girl while each year over 100 boys hit 50 yarders and the record is 68 yards. As to pitchers, no girl has been state level in HS and wrestlers are the bottom weight class, 103 lbs, so they have the help of competing against pre-puberty boys. Simply girls won't dominate boys' sports, even a girl who is all-state would be hard-pressed against a JV benchwarmer.
Read the room bro. Why be a dick. It's just a silly movie for girls to feel good about themselves, and you have to come along and kaka all over it. Geez, how uncouth. Read the room. I bet you are fun at parties--if you ever got to go to any.
Probably the 70s as by the late 70s virtually all schools that had boy's basketball had girl's basketball as Title IX required it and unlike sports like football and wrestling females had been playing basketball since the early 20th century.
@@janefelix3821. If it’s supposed to be the 70s they made no effort to look like the 70s. Plus the guy is wearing a just do it sweatshirt. Did Nike even have that as a slogan in the 70s? Where are the high socks and short shorts? Lol.
@@anneb889 If it's the present then why doesn't her school have a girl's team? It's easy to get 12 girls to try out and if she is that good she would be a 1st team all-state.
Thanks to the coach who sees good thing in Annie O and she made it ❤

This really amazing movie I’ll enjoy it go girls and boys I love playing basketball too with my classmates after lunch back then
Great movie! I really enjoyed watching it.
I coach girls in playing football. I've seen a lot of stigma and discrimination. It is so sad. But we move on and conquer.

It's just a movie,
@@BRemnerrase Trouble is when you say based on a real story people believe it to be true and then think girls can compete against boys.
Foot ball kickers. Pitchers. Wrestlers. Females making male dominated teams

LOL SO CRINGE. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Such bad acting I would guess by the clothes they wear it most probably 80 or 90s
It was set in the 90s.
It's awesome
