    Mike I have been watching you for a long time and I appreciate you and ALL the content you provide me for FREE. I have no complaints. I think there are a small percentage of haters, forget them and focus on all the support you have from the rest of us.

    Some people may look at your success with jealousy, but in reality, you are an inspiration. I see your success as a motivation to work hard myself. Well actually, work hard and then set time aside to...not. One of your recent videos resonated with me when you were talking about being intentional about camping and taking a break. "Never in my life have I sat around a camp fire and thought, man, what a waste of time." Keep pushing hard and keep those good vibes coming! Also congrats on your future home!

    I was skeptical about the look of the new Tundra, but you’re right… with a little lift and a slightly larger tire, the proportions are awesome. Great looking rig so far.

      It’s still hideous, how can he have all these classic land rovers and then buy this abomination

    • @hankf616
      @hankf616 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@reed785M Because classic Land Cruisers look beautiful and are awesome weekend rigs, but they suck to daily drive compared to modern vehicles. That straight 6 can’t pull the hat off it’s own head, so never mind trying to overtake in traffic.

    A few years ago I made a video talking about the security issue with their old locks, DB reached out to me and wanted to discuss new locks for the covers servile emails and multiple months back and forth along with them sending me multiple different locks/cylinders to try and pick they settled on what’s now the production model! Was super cool to be able to work with DB and help improve what is an already amazing product. They acknowledged there was room for improvement and they fixed the issue! That’s awesome to see they’ve implied the new locks into their covers! I’m not sponsored by DB or anything just wanted them to fix a issue and they did.

    I’ve had my tundra I bought for 1 month. I’ve got 2k miles and I love it. No problems as of now. Toyota has been a good way to go for me in the past. I was a single mom with 5 kids and I couldn’t afford to risk being stranded so I went Toyota. Did not disappoint. I grew up Chevy, but was disappointed a few times by Chevy. I still have my T-100 I bought brand new in 1997. I had to get an extra job to make payments but it never let me stranded with my children. So I’ve been a Toyota fan since. Sold my 4Runner 2011 that I had for 11 years (and loved it) for my 22” tundra. Thanks for the honest viewing of Toyota.

    As the husband of a full time content creator/influencer I know just how much work goes into the work that you produce (as her photographer/videographer/package opener etc). You do a fantastic job of putting great content together and sharing it freely. If a company decides to sponsor you and provide you with product or help offset the costs of producing the content - good on you. I'll be watching your Tundra build closely as I have my own '22 arriving in a couple months. Keep up the great work Mike - the successes you have now are because of the hours (years) of work that have gone into getting you to where you are now!!

    The people who want to complain about the success of others were never there for the insanely long weeks of work. Leaving one job and staying up all night for the other. Setting up the business. Manufacturing. Inventory. Admin. Making connections and marketing. Missing out on relationships with friends and family. You just want to shake them and tell them that while they were sleeping and relaxing, you were building something bigger. It’s human to be frustrated by it. It’s mature to be able to shrug it off, not losing any sleep over it. You have publicly, and I would bet privately, paid your blessings forward. That’s full living. And I think it shows your true character, which the vast majority of your viewers really do see.
    I’ve enjoyed watching your content for years now as a viewer, not a comment warrior. Best wishes to you and your family. 🤙🏼

    Just bought the double cab last night, your review helped influence that. Thanks, what you do is appreciated. The dealer uses same lift and tires etc. They are installing for me in next week. Thanks for also sharing how you do what you do, no you don’t have to explain to the “keyboard warriors”, but people who are inspired want to know as well because it gives them insight on what it takes. Not that you need me saying so but figured I’d share. Thanks again man!

    Mike, you are one of the best on the web at going into detail without being boring. Have you considered mounting a stainless loop in your bed and one on your tailgate so you could put a padlock to be extra security that could only be accessed when you unlock your diamondback. I had that setup on my Tacoma when I lived in Hawaii many years ago.

    • @amorton94
      @amorton94 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@omardevonlittle3817 All depends on your use case. And quality lift suspension components in no way reduces your suspension's life. This isn't the 80's were everyone was stacking blocks between the axles and leaf springs. If you're buying a full-size truck for fuel economy, you're doing it wrong.

    For the axle horizontal shift after lifting, it moves whichever direction that the track bar is mounted to the frame.
    So if the track bar mounts to the frame on the driver side, then the axle will shift towards the driver after lifting (without an adjustable one just like you mentioned).
    Lovin the build btw!

    Insaneeeeeee. Absolutely beautiful, looks so damn good but then again did anybody doubt that mike’s tundra wouldn’t come out this way? He sure has great taste in modding trucks. Literally his poop brown 80 series land cruiser is the sexiest 80 I’ve ever seen, his tacoma is the sexiest tacoma I’ve ever seen, and now this tundra is one of the sexiest new tundras I’ve seen so far. And I totally agree with him with everything he rambled about in the beginning about the hate on the tundra and turbos and this and that. I trust toyota and they’ve never let me down all the Toyota trucks I’ve owned. Currently have a 4runner which I’ve literally had ZERO issues with anything on it going on 150,000 miles and I’ll keep it and run it till it’s last legs which will be a long time from now.

    Thanks for clarifying how you came to afford such nice toys! It’s great to be able to see that success is attainable and not just something that is handed down or given for free. Starting with a good education, a job with a decent salary, saving your money, building your asset column, and then starting some sort of business that will eventually net you exponential returns on your investment is pretty much the only way to get rich, unless you’re really good at sports or entertaining people…or being a criminal.

    I agree. Toyota has been extremely cautious with design changes. They often run with things for way too long. The fact that they went all in on this engine in the first year actually inspires a lot of confidence for me. Toyota has a reputation that they have worked hard to build, and I very much doubt they would do anything to jeopardize that.

    Take some canvas and build a giant duffle bag that is in tension between the two racks. Then you have water proof storage on top for firewood etc, except you can still open tonneau if you really have to without have to take everything off.

    New gen is awesome imo. Mustache needs to be colour matched on them all tho. I want one of those tonneau covers haha.

    I’d add the protection rings to those wheels, it will save the wheel rims as well as the threads

    Hey man love the vids. You should definitely try out Ekster wallets. You push a switch with your pinkie and it fans up all your cards. Super easy to get all your cards. RFID protection too.

    Yo man, small detail, but you have the RR6s not RR7s wheels, just FYI. Slightly different spoke design.
    I have the RR7s on my Raptor and love them
