There's a reason why he asked that question, almost every actresses in male centric films looks a certain way, they all have a certain type of body, so isn't it obvious if he thinks that fat women wouldn't be casted as heroines in male centric movies.

That reporter who asked Deepika about Ranveer financing HER produced movie. What did he think? That she didn't have money of her own, Deepika was already the highest paid actress by the time Ranveer came into her life. Props to these successful women in the limelight who have to deal with absurd questions and/or close-minded attitudes, and respond with witty comebacks yet stay professional. I could not maintain such composure when asked such ridiculous questions just because they are women, or be called "lucky" instead of hard-working the way males in the same career are seen.
Most of the questions were pretty normal and they were over reacting except sunny leone. Men won't over react if they were asked these questions.

He could have framed his question better. Even he didn't mean it that way, he still objectified women which obv isn't right.

The achar analogy was actually perfect because that's how women were treated in films that were male centric. The heroine was just there to spice things up ,not as an integral part of the story or an integral part of the heros life but just the 'love interest' who entertained him by singing dancing and looking pretty. I love Rani but here she handled it tactlessly by reacting before understanding what he meant.

Regardless of his intention, he was belittling the work that went into the actress' jobs. People have been arguing for better, less stereotypical, and more impactful roles for women for a long time now. He compared actresses in old movies to achaar like they had no importance at all, which was not always true. Plus, by comparing the role to achaar, he was basically insulting the profession and hard work of actresses who work in those films with those scripts.
That's like saying a comedy role that is not related to the main plot of the film is papad. The role still exists, the actor still worked hard to bring the role to life, and the actor was paid for the work they did in the film. It may not have been the best role out there, but it was still something that audiences enjoyed.
It is the job of actors to entertain audiences as much as it is to raise discussions on social norms and issues, and to compare a role or trope to achaar, especially when it is one of the only tropes where women have had any visibility int he past, is just plain disrespectful.
Every female actresses were Killin it... I personally loved Radhika Apte and PC alongwith Vidya 😍♥️

Was about to rip India's media for possibly being biased towards Sunny and calling valid criticism towards her past, sexism, but then I saw the part and realized that she was in the right and that was a f*cked question.
A lot of men in that region think they're entitled to women that they perceive as promiscuous. Funnily enough, Sunny has done mainly monogamous stuff when she was doing adult content. She has probably been with less men in her life than a lot of women who criticize her for her past work.

I think during promotions for Chennai express she was wearing a chudidaar and some disgusting photographer took a picture frm a height, it was a top view, such that her cleavage was visible, coz she's a woman and ofc she has a cleavage 😂, and then TIMES OF INDIA, ran this story on their page as a sensational news item....I think the reporter in this video asked her something along the lines of what is the big deal with that picture and isn't Deepika making too much fuss abt it almost saying that it was her fault that this picture was taken....as usual the woman is at fault 🤦
