You do know the story behind Unleashed in the East? It's not a "real" live album. The original sound recording for the live show they did was damaged so they recorded the set list in a studio in one room, 'cause most bandmembers record their parts separately at different times, and added a canned audience track. In 1979 I went to a flea market with my dad. Two years after "Sad Wings of Destiny" came out, I was nine and I found a cassette of this album. I liked the cover art, so I bought it with the .50 cents I had. That was when my musical tastes went sharply away from what I was raised on, the 60's and 70's Country and Western my dad liked.
My brother found "Stained Class" in a similar way, found the cassette tape in a reduced bin in '79 or '80, 2-3 years after it came out. Was our 1st Introduction to Judas Priest, been a fan ever since! Great Album!!
Holy shit that sounds familiar, except it was the bargain cassette bin at a gas station. Bought it for the artwork and it ended up changing my my entire view of music.
Judas Priest is one of my older brother's favorite bands. Listening to them always takes me back to the mid-80's when I was 7 or 8 years old and he was in high school or starting college and he'd come pick me up after school because our parents were at work, and he'd drive us back home blasting Judas Priest, Def Leppard, Van Halen and other bands of that era. Good times.

Love Judas Priest, the music is amazing, the Vocal pitches give me chills, His scream has to be the best..."Screaming for Vengeance" proves that fact with out a doubt. Thanks Jamel, Peace
It's hard to believe that song was recorded in 1976. Still sounds amazing today the production on the song is amazing. As you say Jamel the musical instruments go hand in hand with Rob Halford voice no question!!!
Judas Priest was one of my first concerts. I saw them in 1982 on the Screaming for Vengeance tour. Iron Maiden opened up for them around Number of the Beast I think. My 13 year old self was in heaven. Up the Irons 💪 as they used to say... Lol
That show in 82' was at the Brendan Byrne Arena in NJ. The following year we saw them at the Garden in New York. Defenders of the Faith tour... Place was nuts, we all started ripping the stuffing out of our seats and were flinging it towards the stage. Oh, the 1980's... Lol

Judas Priest singer Rob Halford (originally from Birmingham, UK) has lived in the Phoenix, AZ area since the mid 1980s. I have run in to him a handful of times. He is such a down to Earth, very nice person and legend!
Other JP songs that will showcase Halford's range are "Blood Red Skies", "Riding on the Wind", "Hell Patrol", "The Sentinel", "Jaw Breaker"......and that's just for starters!
My favorite Judas Priest song of all time! First concert I ever went to back in 1982. Been waiting for this one and it didn't disappoint. Agree with others that the version on Unleashed in the East is an awesome version too.
Jemel, my younger brother turned me on to Judas Priest. I was heavy into R&B, soul, and blues! Now I appreciate nearly everything that comes across my ears. Music is life. Enjoy life...
That is the reaction of a man who just witnessed the birth of heavy metal..the look on your face like can that get any higher..priceless...Judas Priests angelic vocals with soul ripping guitar riffs are one of the foundations of heavy metal.
You REALLY need to check out the live version from the "Unleashed in the East" album! Seriously bro,the energy level is through the roof in the live version. Always was one of my favorite JP riffs to play on guitar!

First time I ever listened to this was in 1976. Judas Priest instantly became my favorite band and this instantly became my favorite song. Years later, after having purchased every Judas Priest album ever made, I can still say the same thing. I also love "Dreamer/Deceiver" my second favorite Priest song. Third favorite? "Evening Star". Fourth Favorite? "Running Wild".

This is the song that I learned to play and sing way back. Several countries later, do reccomend. Seriously I have had grandmas cooking in places you would have to look for. This song started that fire.
Amazing reaction! I also was blown away when I heard this for the first time in 1996, have been a fan since. The Priest of the 70's to me tops the 80's. Love the sound, love the songs. You have many more great ones to hear!
You just dipping a toe into the worm hole of amazing vocal and gutair riffs known as Judas Priest...Saw them live 3times over the Years..Such great shows.
I've been a fan of JP since about '79. One of my favorite bands. Although some of the live recordings of this tune is great in their own right, this version stands alone. "Sinner" is another old favorite of mine by JP

Lol
A tour with the bill being Maiden and Priest was pretty much the ultimate metal tour.
That show in 82' was at the Brendan Byrne Arena in NJ. The following year we saw them at the Garden in New York. Defenders of the Faith tour... Place was nuts, we all started ripping the stuffing out of our seats and were flinging it towards the stage. Oh, the 1980's... Lol
@@jrzmac I WAS THERE! IT WAS THE FIRST CONCERT HELD AT THE NEW ARENA!
I was there in New York MSG. Incredible show.
@@georgejeffries3566 do you remember the foam from the seats? It was all over the stage and Rob Halford was on sitting on his Harley... The crowd was going nuts!!!
My second favorite Priest song.
1. Beyond the Realms of Death
2. Victim of Changes
3. Touch of Evil
4. You Don't Have To Be Old To Be Wise
5. Desert Plains
This is my favorite of their songs so far
Oh hell yeah, buckle up and enjoy this classic. Thank you Thank you... One of my favs. JP my #2 fav band.
Right on bro...One of my top favorites too...I do prefer the Unleashed version though...
@@if6turnedouttobe9 Love this song live mostly but album wise, My favorite is still British Steel, that my goto to get my JP fix.
@@MusicLover-dt7ic: We have music in common...British Steel got me into Priest in 1980...First time I heard Livin' After Midnight...It's my favorite album...I saw them and Iron Maiden on the British Steel tour/ 1980...U Don't Have to be Old to be Wiiiiise....Cheers my fellow Priest fan...I've seen em 13 times...
#1 for me!! I'm always happy to comment and talk about JP
Music Lover who is your #1?
My first Judas Priest concert was July, 1980 in Baltimore. To say they blew me away is an understatement. Hearing Rob Halford in his prime is a memory I'll treasure always.
I have been waiting a long painful minute for you to make it to this song Jamel. Your response is priceless, it's so wonderful watching you react to old musical favorites of many of us. I wish you'd do a reaction to the entire Unleashed in the East by Judas Priest, my favorite versions of Victim of Changes is on that album. Also the Diamonds and Rust version on that album is also my favorite for that song. It's an absolute must listen to album.
You Rock Sir!
Lol. This is the very best reaction I've ever seen!
Maybe their best song , Vocally and In Musicianship. Incredible
Goosebump fuel
Been listening to this album since the early 80's. Awesome to see new people discover it.
Judas Priest - "Run of the Mill" from Rocka Rolla album!! It's awesome!!
My favorite Priest song. Halford at his best.
Judas Priest singer Rob Halford (originally from Birmingham, UK) has lived in the Phoenix, AZ area since the mid 1980s. I have run in to him a handful of times. He is such a down to Earth, very nice person and legend!
Okay Jamal, this is gonna be a long epic ride!!!! You may have a new # 1.
P.s- thanks to Jennifer!!! You rock!
My very first concert back in 1983... Live is a MUST!!!
Other JP songs that will showcase Halford's range are "Blood Red Skies", "Riding on the Wind", "Hell Patrol", "The Sentinel", "Jaw Breaker"......and that's just for starters!
Dreamer/Deceiver, Savage, Run of the Mill.
D/D is the most stunning IMO
hell patrol is vastly underrated! it gets lost in the shuffle, being that it comes directly after painkiller on the album.
Also Dissident Aggressor
My favorite Judas Priest song of all time! First concert I ever went to back in 1982. Been waiting for this one and it didn't disappoint. Agree with others that the version on Unleashed in the East is an awesome version too.
He sounds just as good live.
Sometimes better.
@@kurtsaxton823 Always better
:D
Definitely better 🤟
He's unbelievable live
I've heard him live it was a fantastic show especially when you heard that motorcycle fire up toward the end
Jemel, my younger brother turned me on to Judas Priest. I was heavy into R&B, soul, and blues! Now I appreciate nearly everything that comes across my ears. Music is life. Enjoy life...
This entire album is fantastic. When it first came out we were freaked out and played it over and over!
Dude. I guess there are bunches of people wanting to hear you respond to the live version from Japan. PLEASE MAN. I've been waiting to hear your reaction for over a year or more. As a teenager back then and being in love with a girl that broke my heart. WE LIVED THIS SHIT !!!! PLEASE MAN IF ANYTHING YOU DO JUST LISTEN TO UNLEASED IN THE EAST !!!! YOU HEAR JUDAS AT THEIR BEST !!!!! METAL GODS IN A CLASS OF THEIR OWN. LIKE ZEPP AND SABBATH. IN A CLASS OF THERE OWN.
@@mattblount5895 US festival 1983 to me, is the best live version
@@AgentLemmon Yo man we're you there ? I was there too !!!
One of the best pieces of metal jewelry !!!
One of the best riffs ever.
Never heard this...thank you and our friends for recommending!!!
My favorite Judas Priest album. Thanks Jamel.
Okay, you got my full attention now sir,Rock on!🤘
Hell yes. Great reaction. Listen to Beyond the Realms of Death by Judas Priest next.
The look of shock on your face at the end, wow. You should see it live. Incredible band, with the motorcycle on stage during Hell Bent for Leather.
This is my 2nd favorite song by Judas Priest. The 1st one is You've Got Another Thing Comin'
It's my get pumped up to go out song.
My favorite album still... 40 yrs ...
This song live at the US Festival is what you want to see the expressions on Rob's face. It will blow you away.
This is probably my favorite Judas Priest song and my favorite JP album.
One of my favorite songs ever!!!!!!!!! Saw them live a ton of times and omg I cry seeing this live every time
Screaming for vengeance. Rob Halford the metal God. It don't get no better.
Beyond the Realms of dead! is another banger or Electric Eye live oficial video... I saw Halford opening for Iron Maiden in 2001, the best day of my life
YES!!! The list goes on!
I love your reactions so much, Jamel. Thanks for being a source of joy for so many. This song gives me them good chills at the end. I'd recommend "Electric Eye" by this band if you fancy doing more.
Live , beast from the east, victim of changes is iconic
Agreed, that version of the song is completely amazing and I like the increased pace. But I thought it was called Unleashed in the East?
One of my favorite songs of all time, Love the priest, seen them five times alive
Highest note I think I have heard Halford do is on Dissident Aggressor. Crazy song
Priest has such a huge catalog of great recordings! Rocka Rolla to Eye in the sky to Breaking the law! Rob goes higher than anyone!
no offence bro but i thought rocka rolla kinda sucked...just MY opinion lol and that's coming form a life-long priest fan
Last Rose of Summer. You won't regret it.
This is the song that I learned to play and sing way back. Several countries later, do reccomend. Seriously I have had grandmas cooking in places you would have to look for. This song started that fire.
Getting into some heavy hitters now!
Wow you killed it with the choices this morning! Victim Of Changes and Awaken!! Nailing it!
There is a live version..from back then..it's easy to find..Rob Halford was in a blouse and had long blonde hair
Amazing reaction! I also was blown away when I heard this for the first time in 1996, have been a fan since. The Priest of the 70's to me tops the 80's. Love the sound, love the songs. You have many more great ones to hear!
I think you just expanded the priest fandom.
This song is epic! I wish I could go back to the first time I listened to this masterpiece.
